Thomas Allen Buckler, MD

Mr. Buckler, 58, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. He was born in La Plata, Md. to Barbara and Joseph Buckler.

Survivors include: mother, Barbara Buckler Jones; brother, Anthony Jones, both of Lebanon; a brother and sister from Fredericksburg, Va.; daughter, Katy Buckler De'Jorge; and two grandchildren from Mt. Juliet.

Patricia Ann 'Pat' Fathera

Services for Mrs. Fathera will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet conducted by Bro. August Ruff. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fathera, 74, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012. She was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ and a graduate from cosmetology school. She was the daughter of the late, Richard and Florence Peach Mills.

She was preceded in death by: parents; and brother, Billy Mills.

Survivors include: husband of 58 years, Bobby D. Fathera; son, Daniel R. 'Danny' (Valerie) Fathera; granchildren, Patrick, Ryan and Dana Fathera; and great-grandchildren, Amber, Gracie and Maci Fathera and Brenna Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Fathera, Ryan Fathera, Ray Martin, Jackie Hayes, Jason Hayes and Ross Hayes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Ester, Randy Haley, Raymond Undland, Jerry Everett, Jimmy Skulley and Josh Stemph.

Charlene Williamson Hockett

Services for Mrs. Hockett will be noon on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Williamson Chapel CME Church in Old Hickory with the Rev. John P. West officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Evans Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Hermitage and 11 a.m. until the service on Saturday at Williamson Chapel.

Mrs. Hockett, 73, of Hermitage, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at Alive Hospice, Skyline. She was born in Wilson County and was a 1956 graduate of Wilson County High School in Lebanon.

Survivors include: husband of 53 years, Zelander Hockett; sons, Charles and David Hockett; sisters, Doris Sowell, Mary Linda Hanes, Ada (Carl) Taylor and Betty and Deborah Williamson; brothers, James Vester and Michael (Nina) Williamson; brothers-in-law, Dewey (Zelma) Hockett, James Ewing, Andrew Clemmons Sr.; sisters-in-law, Arlene Stewart, Dorothy (Randall) Houston, Etoria Brooks; cousin, Dorothy Ewin; uncle, Charles McHolland Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.

Allen Maurice Mercer

Services for Mr. Mercer will be in the following two locations: A funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet conducted by Bro. Andy Connelly and Bro. Darrell Duncan. A memorial service will also be at 7 p.m. Staurday, Feb. 25 at Karns Church of Christ in Knoxville. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at Bond Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Mercer, 55, of Mt. Juliet died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012. He was a member of Center Chapel Church of Christ and former elder at Karns Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Oneida Ponce Mercer.

Survivors include: wife of 25 years, Corinne Mercer of Mt. Juliet; father, Marvern Mercer of Pinehurst, N.C.; daughters, Sarah Mercer of Knoxville and Brooke Mercer of Chattanooga; and brother, Jeff Mercer of Ga.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Allen Graves, John Hiter, Jimmy Tomlin, George Goodfriend, Carl Dixon, Edwin Jones, Jody Apple, Gary Hampton, Don Wagner, Don Denton, Gregg Woodall, Tony Williams, Bill Mulligan, Tracey Worley, Kade Mellons, Conrade Slate, Jeff Mercer, David Mercer, Ricky Amat, David Amat, John Amat, Dave Wensley, John Murphy, Jr. and Doug Dohre.

Freda Halsell Pate

Funeral Services for Freda Halsell Pate will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Eld. Floyd Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs.

Mrs. Pate, 69, of Lebanon and formerly of Red Boiling Springs, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. She was born in October of 1942 to the late Nemo and Pauline Gregory Halsell and was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. She was the valedictorian of the Red Boiling Springs High School Class of 1960. She later received her Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in secondary education and biology from the Tennessee Tech. She was the biology teacher and girl’s basketball coach at Macon County High School. She was inducted into the Red Boiling Springs Sports Hall of Fame in 2008 for basketball. She served as the Executive Director of the Cordell Economic Opportunity Corporation in Cookeville and later was the former Assistance Director of the Upper Cumberland Development District.

Survivors include: husband of 22 years, Maynard Pate; daughters, Charla (John) Zalewski and Leslie Palk all of Cookeville; son, Greg Biles of Lebanon; granddaughter, Holly Palk; grandsons, Jacob, Nick and Ben Zalewski; and brother, Fred (Martha) Halsell of Sneads Ferry, N.C.

Pallbearers will be Chad Guffey, Kevin Ferguson and John, Jacob, Ben and Nick Zalewski.
