Elizabeth Holt Friel
Services for Mrs. Friel will be noon Thursday, May 3, at Chattanooga Funeral Home (North) in Hixson, Tenn. with Pastor Emeritus at Bayside Baptist Church Robert C. Stitts officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet and 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 at Chattanooga Funeral Home (North).
Mrs. Friel, 92, died Sunday, April 29, 2012. She was born in Oct. of 1919 in Fackler, Ala., to the late Monroe and Suzanna Vincent Holt. A member of Woodland Park Baptist Church, she served as a Sunday school teacher for 22 years. Later she joined Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tenn. In 2007, Elizabeth moved to Mt. Juliet to live with her daughter and later was one of the first residents to move into Rutland Place, a senior retirement residence in Mt. Juliet, where she was a member of a Bible study class sponsored by First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Francis W. Friel and 10 siblings.
Survivors include: daughters, Gloria (Ron) Gant of Harrison, Carolyn (Don) Griffith of Mt. Juliet and Linda (Joe) White of Prosperity, S.C.; grandchildren, Jeff (Rene) Hoge of Franklin, Rick (Kim) Hoge of Harrison, Jodi Griffith of Mt. Juliet, Chris (Emily) White of Greenville, S.C. and Robin (Eric) Soster of Fayetteville, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Emily, Kaitlyn, Thomas, Brittney, Cameron, Conner, Gibson, Whitaker, Harriet, Sydney, Abel and Joey.
Pallbearers will be Jeff, Rick and Cameron Hoge, Chris White, Eric, Abel and Robin Soster and Jodi Griffith. The great-grandchildren will serve as honorary Pallbearers.
Arrangements by Bond Memorial Chapel.
Johnny J. Jones
A Memorial Service for Mr. Jones will be held at a later date.
Mr. Jones, 67, died April 28, 2012.
He was preceded in death by: son, Johnny Jones Jr.; parents, Eddie and Fannie Mai Jones; and brothers, Eddie Jones Jr, and J.P. Jones.
Survivors include: children, Justin Jones, Candice Jones, and Natalya Jones; mother of his children: Rana Woodmore; five sisters; and four brothers.
Janette 'Buttons' Savell Robinson
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Robinson will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Partlow Chapel. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
Mrs. Robinson, 44, of Mt. Juliet, died in Colo. April 19, 2012. She was born in May of 1967 in Houston, Texas and was a 1986 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School. She and her husband owned cabins in the mountains of Colo. that they shared with vacationers.
She was preceded in death by: father, James C. Savell; and grandparents.
Survivors include: husband, Ryan Robinson; mother, Norma Savell Smith; brothers, John Carlton and Mike (Karen) Wiseman and Richard (Barbara) and James C. Savell; sisters, Judy (Greg) Hill, Jill (Chris) Rogers, Jo 'Sissy' Savell and Robin (Terry Hughes) Savell; friend, Delma Ruiz McPeak; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and nephew, James Adam Johns who is serving in the U.S. Army.
