Virginia Mae Adamson
Funeral services for Mrs. Adamson will be at noon Thursday, Feb. 7 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Mayle officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time on Thursday. Interment will be at Jones Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Adamson, 82, of Watertown, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 5, 2013 at NHC Health Care in Smithville. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Candice Williams Adamson and was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Jean McIntyre and Janise Marie Adamson.
Virginia is survived by sisters, Margaret Adamson of Watertown and Joyce Randolph of California; four nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Juanita “Sue” McGowan Andrews
Services for Mrs. Andrews will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at Neuble Monument Funeral Home LLC with Eld. Alton Pickett officiating and Pastor Anthony Dobson eulogist. Interment will be at Mt. Lebanon. Visitation will be Friday from 1-7 p.m. and noon on Saturday.
Mrs. Andrews, 81, died Feb. 2 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Andrews, and son Carl L. Andrews.
Survivors include: son, Bruce (Barbara) Andrews; daughters, Betty Richardson, Willie (L.W.) Herron, Carolyn Andrews and Deborah (Greg) Johnson; sister, Irene Griffin; brother-in-law, C.L. Andrews; sisters-in-law, Lucy Andrews and Sue Andrews; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Nona Bell “Cricket” Baker
Mrs. Baker, 79, of Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Linda C. Brewer
A memorial service for Mrs. Brewer will be held on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Charleston, Mo. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. till service time. A Memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Nashville. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till service time. Officiating will be Betsy Buhler, Sondi Scroggins, Rev. John Gardner and Rev. Michael W. Brewer.
Mrs. Brewer, 65, of Mt. Juliet and Charleston, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.L. and Lois Telford and by her aunt, Emma Jennings Armstrong. Linda was a graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and Middle Tennessee State University, College of Education. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Nashville and First Baptist Church, Charleston, Mo. where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Associate VBS Director and Women's Ministry Bible Study mentor.
Linda retired after 32 1/2 years of faithful ministry with LifeWay Christian Resources (Baptist Sunday School Board) in the Sunday School Department, Conference Center Promotion Section, the Church Resources Division as a Curriculum Specialist and Network Partnership Consultant. During her tenure she was awarded the highest employee recognition by receiving the Career of Excellence Award. In her retirement years she continued to serve the Kingdom of God, working with State Baptist Conventions, Associations, Churches and individuals. Linda's ministry and influence will continue on this earth while she embraces her rewards in Heaven.
Linda is survived by her husband, the Rev. Michael W. Brewer of Charleston, Mo.; stepchildren, Justin (Keelie) Brewer of Edgefield, S.C., Jonathan David Brewer of Hilo, Hawaii and Philip Michael Brewer of Murphysboro, Ill.; grandchildren, James and Will Brewer; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (James) Hamilton of Martinez, Ga. and Joan Brewer of Garden City, S.C.; close family friends and former co-workers of LifeWay Christian Resources (Baptist Sunday School Board), Nashville, and beloved members of First Baptist Church, Charleston, Mo.
