It’s not every day the president and chief operating officer of a multi-billion dollar fast-food chain with more than 1,600 restaurants serves customers from behind the counter or out of the drive-through window, especially in Lebanon.
Dan Cathy did just that Wednesday at the local Chick-fil-A restaurant, and he did a lot more.
“Dan is a little bit of a wild card when he comes into a room or a building,” said Lebanon Chick-fil-A franchise owner Carlton Beall. “His time was limited. He started taking orders, cleaning up trash, filling drinks and touching tables. He took people on tours of the kitchen and explained how the food is prepared. He also spent some time with our team members, talking to them about what it means to serve.”
