Fish fry to benefit family with Wilson roots

Michael’s Café will host a fish fry Saturday to benefit a mid-state family with Wilson County roots.

When Marcie Wright, owner of Michael’s Café, learned 13-year-old Jaden Fox had cancer, she knew she needed to help somehow.

“I just had heard what they were going through, and my heart went out to them,” said Wright.

Wright knew the Fox family from College Hills Church of Christ, where Fox’s mother, Layla, and grandmother, Vickie Sledge, were longtime members
