Chris Goodwin spun a three-hit shutout in HTK's 10-0 win over Perma Pipe in Lions Babe Ruth League action Thursday at Baird Park's Charles Eskew Field.

Pryor Dentistry defeated ADC 10-1 in the second game.

Goodwin struck out four and walked none. Preston Parks and Jake Davis each had two hits and Shelby Brown and Tyler Higdon one apiece.

Michael McDowell, a left-hander like Goodwin, allowed seven runs on four hits and seven walks in four innings for Perma Pipe before Andy Empey surrendered three runs in his one inning. Empey, Austin Plumlee and Kolbe Sanders had Perma Pipe's hits.

Chase Andrews fanned five in two innings for ADC before Matt Dillon and Jakeese Turner each tossed an inning in the combined two-hitter. Turner, Dillon and Daniel Dillard had a hit apiece.

Drew Porth took the loss with nine runs allowed in two innings before Daniel McGee threw three frames. Porth and Micah Midgett had ADC's hits.

Sunset, Wilson Bank post Rotary routs

Sunset beat Liberty State 13-5 and Wilson Bank & Trust shut out Advance Signs 15-0 Thursday in Rotary Dixie Youth major-league action at Baird Park's David B. Penuel Memorial Field.

Winning pitcher Matthew Jenkinson drove in four Sunset scores on two doubles and a single while Alex Kulas cracked a two-run double and Cole Fergusson homered and singled.

Braden Reese drove in a Liberty State run on two singles while Tyler Hayslip and Jackson Eskew each had an RBI single and Ethan Chambers chipped in with a single.

Luke Bradshaw cleared the fence with a three-run homer for Wilson Bank while Mark McDearman and Dylan McDonald combined on a three-inning one-hitter. Cade Baker drove in two runs on a double and single while Jared Campbell cracked an RBI single. Trey Melvin doubled while Will Dedman singled twice.

Braxton Swann's first-inning double was the only hit for Advance Signs.

On the other Rotary field, First Freedom edged WCM 3-2 and ADC defeated Ligon & Bobo 10-2.
