Lebanon police charged a Carthage man Friday in connection with a holiday burglary.
According to police, the victims were out of town for the holiday and returned Friday to their Princeton Drive home to find that someone had forced open their back door and had taken several personal items, including a handgun.
Based on forensics at the scene and witness statements, police quickly identified Tony West, 25, of Carthage, as a suspect.
Police were able to return some of the stolen property to the victims.
Authorities charged West with one count of aggravated burglary, one count of possessing burglary tools, three counts of simple possession of drugs and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
West remained Monday in Wilson County Jail on bond totaling $51,500.
