Virgle Buck

Services for Mrs. Buck will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Mt. Juliet A.M.E. Church. Rev. Timothy Bryant will be the eulogist. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Hellum Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Buck, 91, of Lebanon, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Summit Medical Center.

Survivors include: daughters, Mary Ann Hancock and Betty Christine Clay; step-daughter Flayetta Wright; step-sons Edmund (Ida) and Joe Buck; grandchildren, Loyd, Ambrose, Dorothy and Sylvia Branch, Ruby and Senica Hancock, and Christopher Clay; brother, Daniel Sweatt; and other family and friends.

Janis Lynn Carver

Services for Ms. Carver will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18 at Rutland Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley E. Southall officiating. Interment will be in Rutland Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.

Ms. Carver, 52, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008. Baptized by the Rev. A.M. Baker at LaGuardo Methodist Church, in adulthood, she attended Rutland Baptist Church. She was a 1974 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and attended Tennessee State University. She was preceded in death by father, James Curtis Carver.

Survivors include: mother, Grace Oldham Carver of Mt. Juliet; sisters, Jamie (Larry) Brooks and Jackie Carver of Mt. Juliet; aunts, Katherine Garrett of Gallatin, Ruby Lloyd and Sadie (Robert) Majors, both of Nashville; uncles, Bob (Carey) Oldham, Curry Oldham and Jim (Margaret) Oldham, all of Gallatin, George Robert Gaines and Johnny (Mary) Gaines, both of Nashville; and numerous cousins and friends.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Nashville Red Cross Blood Bank, 2201 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203; or The American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN, 37203.

Bond Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Robert "Bobby" Graham

Service details are incomplete. Interment will follow the service at Middle Tennessee State Veterans' Cemetery.

Mr. Graham, 67, of Nashville died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008. He was preceded in death by parents William and Robbie Graham.

Survivors include: wife of 45 years, Ethelene Graham; sons, William Clay (Kim) Graham and Tyler Eugene Graham; daughter, Bobbie Lee Graham; brother, Roy Eugene (Ann) Graham; nephew, Chuck (Janie) Waggoner; and grandchildren, Joshua Trinity Graham and Denali Rose Graham.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Waggoner, Bruce Hammock, Raymond Martini, Phillip Kennedy, Tommy Inman, Josh Probo, Daniel Sullivan and Bob Hamm.

Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen Thomas McClanahan

Services for Mrs. McClanahan will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville with Dr. Ray Cleek officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home.

Mrs. McClanahan, 87, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008 at Cedars Health Care in Lebanon. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Ella Lee Thomas; husband, Eugene Douglas McClanahan; borhters, Robert, Russell, William and Bud Thomas; and sisters Ruby Shane and Betty Gibbs.

Survivors include: sons, Ron (Kathy) McClanahan of Arrington and Richard "Rick" McClanahan of Cookeville.

Willie Frank Seay

A memorial service for Mr. Seay will be held at Cobbs Funeral Home in Pontiac, Mich.

Mr. Seay, 59, of Pontiac, Mich. and formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in Pontiac, Mich. He was preceded in death by parents, Hubbert and Beauty Seay; daughter, Tina Seay; sisters, Mary Frances Seay, Pauline Crawford, Sammie Carter and Loretta Owens; and brothers, Luke, Ben, Buford and Andrew Seay.

Survivors include: wife, Gloria Seay; son, Steve Seay; sister, Nancy Seay; brothers, Hubert (Patricia) Seay, Wayne Seay, and Russell (Deborah) Seay; mother-in-law, Juanita Rhodes; sister-in-law, Gale Rhodes; brother-in-law, Charles (Cornellia) Robertson; aunt, Louise Seay of Hartsville; uncle Claude (Rosa) Seay of Pontiac, Mich.; and a host of niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Martha Baird Whitehead

Services for Mrs. Whitehead will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 p.m to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whitehead, 90, of Hixson, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008. A native of Lebanon, she was a charter member of Westland United Methodist Church and a member of Burks United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, THomas J. Whitehead.

Survivors include: sister, Margaret White; brother, Jesse Baird; daughter, Cathy Albright; son, James Whitehead; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
