William Sanford Barrett

Services for Mr. Barrett will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donald Owens and Pastor John Hunn officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, August 4, from 4-8 p.m. in the chapel.

Mr. Barrett, 66, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008 in St. Thomas Hospital. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and an Air Force Veteran. Mr. Barrett was employed with S&S Industries in Mt. Juliet as a Quality Control Operator.

Survivors include: mother, Hazel Mai Warren Barrett; daughter, Nakita Barrett of Brush Creek, Tenn.; son, William Timothy Barrett of Gallatin; brother, Joe Howard (Pam) Barrett of Hendersonville; sister, Judy Ann (Jackie) Dalton; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Pirtle, Ron Lackey, Roger McKinney, Don Cauwells, Clint Draper, Karl Bailey, Rickey Winfree, Kobie Sadler and Roger Sherrill.

Clifford Gilbert Blackwell

Services for Mr. Blackwell will be on Wednesday, August 6, at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Service time has not yet been announced. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon.

Mr. Blackwell, 81, died Saturday, August 2, 2008. He served in the US Navy for 26 years. During this time he assisted with the pre-invasion and bombing of the beach at Normandy during World War II. He retired from Grumman Aerospace where he did hydraulic testing on Navy A/C and the Lunar Module after 23 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dolly Alexander Blackwell; wife, Helen Masiuk Blackwell; sisters Annie Lumpkin and Era Raines; brothers, Alexander Blackwell, James Blackwell and twin, Clarence Blackwell.

Survivors include: daughter, Amy Blackwell of Alexandria; brother, Bill (Jere) Blackwell of California.

Harold Moss "Pete" Williams, Jr.

Services for Mr. Williams will be Monday, August 4, at 2 p.m. at Partow Funeral Chapel. A Masonic service will be held on Sunday, August 3, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel with Bro. Wayne Miller, Bill Bryson and Luke Williams officiating. Visitaion will be held on Sunday, August 3, from 4-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams, 75, died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Quality Care Health Center in Lebanon. He served as Head of Public Works for the City of Lebanon and was employed for many years with Texas Eastern.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Moss Sr. and Addie Mae Williams and brother-in-law, James "Tampa" Eakes.

Survivors include: wife of 54 years, Mary Helen Thomas; children, Lisa Mae (Jack Leftwich) Williams, Luke H. (Terresia Hallums) Williams; grandchildren, Jim Lofton Leftwich, Rachel Ann (Jonathan) Sidwell and Luke Aaron Williams; great grandchild, Emilee; sister, Robbie Joyce Williams Eakes.

Pallbearers will be Jack Leftwich, Jim Leftwich, Luke Aaron Williams, Stant Eakes and Danny Eakes. Honorary pallbearers will be N.I.G.C. International friends, William Farmer, Tom Hallums, Neil Shipper and Tim Stephens.

Leroy "Chief" Youngs

Services for Mr. Youngs will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating at Sellars Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 4, from 4-8 p.m., on Monday, August 5, from 2-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Youngs, 61, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008. He was the owner of Absolute Protection, a private security company and was formerly a member of law enforcement in Davidson County. Mr. Youngs was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the FOP.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Taylor.

Survivors include: children, Angela Dekker and Devin Youngs of Lebanon; step-daughter, Dana (Steve) Chapman; step-son, Chuck (Stephanie) Henley; mother; Kay Taylor of Mufreesboro; grandchildren, Rain Wester, Trace Youngs, Lexi Dekker, Chance Pettit, Benjamin Pettit, A.J. Pettit, Tucker Chapman, Eden Henley and Major Henley; special friend, Sandra Youngs of Lebanon.
