William 'Bill' Thomas Dowdy

Services for Mr. Dowdy will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Paster Jerry Smith and Bro. Larry Pedigo officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hermitage Funeral Home.

Mr. Dowdy, 64, of Lebanon, died December 23, 2008.

He is survived by wife, Renee Dowdy; son, William Lance "Bo" (Sondra) Dowdy; daughter Denise M. (Troy) Holley; grandchildren, Blaines, Brylee, Braden and Brock Holley, Victoria Dowdy; brother, Bob Dowdy; sister, Debbie Crain; mother-in-law, Jean Adkisson.

Pallbearers will be Dayton Blair, Terry Jordan, Greg Keakes, Clayton House, Nolen Durham, Chris McDonald and Sammy Malone.

Patsy L. Fraley

Services for Mrs. Fraley will be noon Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Dr. Marvin P. Nail officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens Memories Mausoleum. Visitation will be 10 a.m. till services start at the Hermitage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fraley, 66, of Old Hickory, died Tuesday, December 23. She was a retired nurse with Donelson Hospital and a member of Tulip Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Fraley is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Fraley; sons, Jerry (Jennifer) Fraley, Jr. and Patrick (Penny) Fraley; three grandchildren, Blake, Jordan and Drew Fraley; brothers, Arvil and Allen Edwards; several nieces and nephews.

Dr. Harvey Hall Grime

Services for Dr. Grime will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Lebanon with the Revs. W.H. Baker and Dr. Ray Cleek officiating. Interment will be at Jones Hill Cemetery in Watertown. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel and one hour before the service at the church.

Dr. Grime, 79, of Lebanon, died Friday, December 26, 2008. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He received his bachelor of science degree from Middle Tennessee State in 1957. In 1959, he received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Tennesseee School of Medicine in Memphis and practiced medicine until he retired in 2005. He was a memer of First Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Dr. Grime was preceded in death by wife Betty DeHart Grime; sisters, Sarah Settle and Rebecca Jennings; niece, Becky Winfree.

Survivors are wife, Patricia Brown Grime; daughter, Terri Grime; sons, Greg (Traci) Grime and Jonathan (Kelly) Grime; grandchildren, Austin, Haley and Brode Grime; sisters, Lois Fitch, Margaret Cook, and Betty (Tommy) Nokes; nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be nephews: Daniel Settle, Charles Fitch, Hall Cook, Flyn Jennings, Ethan Nokes and Eric Nokes.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Hardaway-Jenkins Sunday School Class from First Baptist Church.

Clara Barton Wauford McDonald

Services for Mrs. McDonald will 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 at Madison Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Newell officiating. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Mrs. McDonald, 87, Madison, died Friday, December 26, 2008.

She is preceded in death by husband, James McDonald; parents, William H. and Ona Perkins Wauford; sister, Thelma Preston.

Survived by nieces, Paula Lancaster, Eleanor Pulliam; friends, Janie and Darrell Johnson; grandsons, Brad and Brian Johnson.

Pallbeares will be Brad and Brian Johnson, Bobby Lancaster, Cory Fortner, Danny Wyatt, Roger Vaughn.

Rodney 'Sport' McQuiddy

Mr. McQuiddy, 57, died December 25, 2008 at University Medical Center.

He is survived by family and friends.

Saddler Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.

Willie Beatrice Smith

Services for Mrs. Smith will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Hunter funeral Home. Interment will be at Jennings Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. till service time.

Smith, 91, of Alexandria, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. Formerly of Statesville, Smith was a retired garment factor worker and member of the Statesville United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by husband, Bill Smith; parents, Oza Hardin and Minnie Tennessee Ricketts Hardin; son-in-law, Clyde Canatta; sisters, Irene Armstrong, Lucille Taylor and Arbella Vantrease.

Mrs. Smith is survived by daughter, Nelda Bettes of Alexandria and Barbara Vanatta of Alexandria; grandchildren, Tammy Vanatta of Alexandria, Teresa (Tom) Lynch of Alexandria and Richie Vanatta of Statesville; great grandson, Kameron Vanatta of Pleasant Shade; sister, Alrene Hayes of Sellarsbug, Ind.; one niece and two nephews and care giver Dora Johnson.

Pallbearers will be friends.

Caroline May Arnold Waynick

Services for Mrs. Waynick will be 3 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Grace United Methodist Church, 2905 N. Mt. Juliet Road with Jon Gray officiating.

Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Waynick, 73, of Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008.

Preceded in death by parents, Paul T. and Beatrice I. Sherman Arnold.

Mrs. Waynick is survived by sons, David (Becky) Waynick and Mark (Donya) Waynick; daughters, Rita (John) Abernathy, Joni (Kenny) Dyer and Cheri (Jimmy) Mason; brother, Lewis Wayne Arnold; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
