Vickey Julia Barrett

Visitation for Ms. Barrett was on Friday, Feb. 13, at the First Methodist Church of Baton Rouge, La., with the Rev. Chris Andrews officiated.

Ms. Barrett, 51, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Landmark Nursing Facility in Baton Rouge. She served in the United States Army and earned a bachelors degree in psychology from LSU-Shreveport in 1988; two masters degrees in social work in 1991 and a master in public administration in 2004. She was employed with Capital Area Human Services District in Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by mother, Thelma Hutton and brother-in-law Kenneth Lea.

Survivors include: sisters, Marty (Bobby) Queener, Betty Lea and Lynn Olle; brothers, Joe (Lori) Hutton, Phillip (Pat) Powell, David (Jarvis) Barrett and Nickey Barrett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LSU Foundation for the School of Social Work Scholarship Fund or to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.

Resthaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lewis Baugues

Services for Mr. Baugues will be noon, Thursday, Feb. 19, at Second Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Haynie officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 19, from 11 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Baugues, 68, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at UMC.

Survivors include; wife, Miriam Baugues; daughter, Winona Hays and LatonJa (Kerry) Hensley; step-son, Frederick White; grandchildren, Landon Kanion and Brenna Hays; step-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Norrell White and other family and friends.

Dorothy M. Bell

Services for Mrs. Bell will be noon Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Secondary Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Haynie officiating. Interment will be Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Bell, 69, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at UMC.

Survivors include: son, Willis Jerome Bell; grandchildren, Tony Jerome Vernon Bell, Evelyn Dorothrea Anderson and Tatyana Onsree La'nette Weir Bell; sisters, Mary Cason and Brenda Saddle; brother, Douglas Howell; aunt, Ora Richardson; a host of nieces; a devoted, Melba White; nephews and other relatives and friends.

Homer G. Darnell

Graveside services for Mr. Darnell will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon with the Rev. Donald Owens officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Darnell, 85, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Quality Care, where he had been a resident for the past 10 years.

There are no immediate survivors.

Randall Dean Johnson

Services for Mr. Johnson were Monday, Feb. 16 at High Funeral Home in McMinnville with Bethel Mooneyham officiating. Interment was in Lost Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson, 41, of McMinnville, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at River Park Hospital. He was employed with Good L Corporation in the maintenance department.

He was preceded in death by father, Clifford Johnson.

Survivors include: wife, Janet Johnson of Murfreesboro; daughter, Stephanie Meadows of Murfreesboro; son, Randall Johnson Jr. of Murfreesboro; mother and step-father. Margaret Johnson and L.C. Roberts of McMinnville; brothers, Michael (Terri) Johnson of Shelbyville, Ray (Clara) Johnson of McMinnville and Tracey (Kim) Johnson of Lawrenceburg; sisters, Sherry (Kenny) Hall and Tammy (Steve) Miles, both of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Mildred Winford

Services for Mrs. Winford will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p,m, Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Winford, 80, previously of Lebanon, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Alterra Sterling House in San Antonio, Texas. Born in Monticello, Ky., she grew up in Lebanon and lived the majority of her life here. She worked at TRW/Ross Gear and retired after 27 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lena Trammell; husband, Charles “Buddy” Winford; and son, Randall Winford.

Survivors include: son, Jim (Marilyn) Winford of San Antonio; sister, Blanche (Bobby) Smith of San Antonio; and nieces, Suzanne (Rusty) Weenink, Dianne Marbach, Leanne Smith, and Dale Winford.

Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
