Mary Lou Banta
Services for Mrs. Banta will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Shannon officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park Fla.
Mrs. Banta, 82, of Mt. Juliet, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009. A member of the Mt. Juliet Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class, she was very active in the Ted. E. Bear Club where she served as the primary seamstress. An avid reader, she was an auditor for the J. C. Penney Company and retired after 23 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mont Cephas and Bertha Mae Wright; husband, Newell Banta; sister, Zelma McCarty; grandson, Glen Cannon and son-in-law, Al Willoughby.
Survivors include children, Patty Willoughby of Mt. Juliet, Jeanette Davis of Georgia, Shirley Clegg of Lebanon and Carolyn (Jon) Rose of Memphis; brother, Herman Thornberg of Florida; grandchildren, Lisa Pratt, Steve Cannon, Sheri McAfee, Joe Lee DAvis, Gary Davis, Craig Davis, Mike Schmitz, Russell Clements, Scott Clements and Daniel Clements; great grandchildren, Amy Pratt, Daniel Pratt, Tiffany Cannon, Josh Cannon, Alyssa McAfee, Cara McAfee, Christina McAfee, Katie Davis, Julia Davis, Jeremy Davis, Ashley Davis, Hayden Davis, Allen Clements, Anastasia Clements and Krista Clements; niece, Wanda Renken

Roy R. Enoch
Services for Mr. Enoch will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Fowler officiating. Interment will be in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 9, from 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. until the service.
Mr. Enoch, 52, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009. He was a member of the Bellwood House of Prayer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Teamon Carl Enoch; step-mother, Sarah Enoch and brother, Stephen Enoch.
Survivors include: children, Terri (Richard) Miller, Rebecca Enoch, Joshua (Jessica) Enoch, Roderick, Broderick and Elijah Enoch; ex-wife, Sandra "Sissy" Enoch; siblings, Ray (Diane) Enoch, Carl (Sonia) Enoch, Brenda (Tim) Fish, Nancy (Gary) Ward and Dennis (Lisa) Hamilton and four grandchildren.

Flora Mai Harper
Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Harper was held Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at the Gordonsville Cemetery with Bro. Mike Christian officiating.
Mrs. Harper, 100, of Gordonsville, died Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Simner
Hospice at Gallatin Healthcare Center in Gallatin. Born Jan 22, 1909, in New Middleton, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Minnie Frances Turner and Willie Baker. She worked as a cook at Gordonsville School, at the Carthage Shirt Corporation and Precision Rubber Company in Lebanon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gordonsville since the 1980s.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings; Edgar Baker, Charlie Baker, Willie Baker, Robert Baker, Mary Lou Fisher, Fannie Belle Campbell and Nellie Jane Harris; son, Clyde William McClanahan; husband, Erle D. Harper.
Survivors include sons, Glenn McClanahan of South Carthage and Bobby Harper of Lebanon; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Reed of Nashville and Delia Preston of Carthage and brothers, the Rev. Howard Baker of Indiana and Thayer Baker of Nashville.
J. D. Manning
Services for Mr. Manning will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Amos Wilson and Dr. John Cheetham officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Manning 91, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at the Lebanon Health & Rehab. He was a member of the Bartons Creek Baptist Church and was a floor covering retailer in Florida for many years.
He was preceded in death by his son, James R. "Jim" Manning; parents, Zebadee and Annie Johnson Manning Sr.; sister, Doris Manning and brothers, Ezra and Dee Manning Jr.
Survivors include: wife of 70 years, Emile Halbert Manning; children, Joseph (Jacqueline) Manning of Atlanta, Ga., and Dr. Patsy (Jonathan Plitman) Manning of High Point, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Sandra G. Manning of Leesburg, Fla.; sisters, Ruth Lowe of Lebanon, Kathryn Proctor of Nashville, and Betty Sue Jennings of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Kim (Russell) Marks of Charlotte, N.C., Kelly (Peter) Beale of Palmetto, Fla., Brian (Sheryl) Manning of New Port Richey, Fla., James Scott Manning of Oldsmar, Fla., Ethan (Clara) New of Lutz, Fla., and Jacob, Allison, and Noah Plitman all of High Point, N.C.; and 7 great grandchildren.
