James Edward Adams
Mr. Adams, 66, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 in Toledo, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Lillian Adams; and siblings, Evelyn Mahoney, John, Forris and Cardell Adams and Jackie Majors.
Survivors include: daughters, Vickie and Kimberly Adams; sisters, Mary and Star Moore; brothers, Charles and Wardell Adams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A Tribute to the Life of Mr. Creswell will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Dr. Larry Locke officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Creswell, 72, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009. He was a sales representative and member of College Hills Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, Doddie and Dorris Creswell; and brother, Joe Creswell.
Survivors include: wife, Jamie Griffin Creswell; daughter, Lisa (Christopher) Groce; sons, Mark (Denise), Chet, Jim (Jayme) and Josh (Mary Beth) Creswell; brother, Jerre Creswell; sister, Ann (Ernest) Sanders, sister-in-law, Janie Creswell; grandchildren, Judson, Kathleen Groce, Hannah, Graham Creswell, Preston, Garner Creswell, Griffin, Drew Creswell.
Flowers accepted or donations may be made to Fellowship House c/o College Hills Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be Mark, Chet, Jim and Josh Creswell, Spook Spickard and Mitchell Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe and Martha Griffin, Anna Jackson, Roy and Barbara Griffin and the Community Bible Class.
Bro. Donald Charles Pharris
Services for Bro. Pharris will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jonas Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Double Springs Cemetery in Cookeville. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Bro. Pharris, 70, of Lebanon, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009. He was born in Cookeville to the late Charlie and Flossie Flatt Pharris. He was ordained into ministry at West View Baptist Church in Cookeville. He spent more than 40 years serving as a pastor at various churches including Shellsford Baptist Church in McMinnville, First Baptist Church Livingston, North Etowah Baptist Church in Etowah, Tenn. and Fairview Baptist Church Lebanon. After retirement he served at Whittsett Chapel in Nashville and Riddleton Baptist in Carthage and was Director of Missions in New Salem Association.
Survivors include: wife, Carol Pharris; daughter, Donna (Jim) Walls of Cookeville; son, Chuck Pharris and his fiance Joice Gil, of Chicago, Ill.; granddaughters, Caroline and Callie Walls; brothers, Bill (Jean) Pharris of Nashville and Bob (Carolyn) Pharris of Cookeville; several other family members and caregiver, Sue Brewington.
Pallbearers will be family members. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fishers of Men Sunday School class at West Hills Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Jesse Coe Whitley
Memorial services for Mr. Whitley will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26 at Hellum Funeral Home. His remains will be cremated and interred in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Whitley, 81, of Indianapolis, Ind., died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009.
Survivors include: daughters, Carolyn (Louis) Rhone and Myra Whitley, both of Lebanon and Vadetta Whitley of Indianapolis; son. Bernie Whitley of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
