Jimmy T. Allen

Services for Mr. Allen will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Watertown with the Rev. Andray Clemons and Deacon Carl Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Disyal Funeral Home.

Mr. Allen, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by parents, George Allen and Jessie Mae Starks; sisters, Lillie Bell Allen and Evelyn Smith; and brothers, Earl Jones and James Allen. Survivors include: daughters, LaToya and Tanya Carter; step-daughter, Lena Burns; son, Gary (LaVonia) Allen of Murfreesboro; grandsons, Quinton Allen and Dacio Carter; sister, Georgia Donnell; brothers, Daniel Allen and Robert Starks; special friends, Clyde Woods, Wallace Beard, Wayne Goad, Don Simpson, and the entire Mt. Zion church family; and a host of cousins, Joyce, Mary. Linda, Charles, Tommy andTimmy.

Robert Odell Beasley

Services for Mr. Beasley will be noon Saturday, Jan. 5 at Hellum Funeral Home with the Rev. Kerwin Utley officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Beasley, 76, of Lebanon, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 at University Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by parents, John Willie and Eliza Beasley. Survivors include: sister, Betty Lucile Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends.

Casandra A. Davis

Memorial services for Ms. Davis will be 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Kyker Chapel in Kingston, Tenn. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Ms. Davis, 35, of Lebanon and formerly of Kingston, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 at University Medical Center. She was owner/operator of CD Concepts, an avid softball player and creator of softballwire.com.

She was preceded in death by grandfather, T.J. Davis. Survivors include: mother and step-father, Pat (Gary “Bubba”) Burnett; father and step-mother, Sam (Nancy) Davis; brother, David (Susan) Davis of Kingston; boyfriend, Trevor Sawyer of Lebanon; step-sisters, Christine Burnett, Shannon (Jeremy) Cowart and Jennifer Lacrosse; and nieces and nephews, Autumn and Austin Davis, Adler and Eisley Cowart and Eric and Kaylee Lacrosse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sherry’s Run Foundation, P.O. Box 8, Lebanon or any Wilson Bank & Trust.

Evelyn Ray Dies

Services for Mrs. Dies were 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 at Lebanon Church of God of Prophecy with George Wallace and Marion Caruthers officiating. Interment was in Gordonsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Dies, 66, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007. She was retired from Precision Rubber Company and had worked at Texas Boot Company.

She was preceded in death by parents, William and Lena Ray; and sisters, Janie Warren, Faye Bowman and Jo Wilson. Survivors include: sons, Kirby Dies of Lebanon, Kenneth Dies of New Mexico and Khristopher (Leitha) Dies of Madison; daughter, Kimberly Newberry of Hartsville; brothers, Jim Ray of Carthage and Paul, Robert (Kathy) and George (Francis) Ray, all of Lebanon; sisters, Duluth (Dewey) Bane, Sylvia Crutcher, Sue Morgan, Lee Mofield and Judy Fisher, all of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles “Chuck” Frye

Services for Mr. Frye will be noon Saturday, Jan. 5 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment will be in Hurricane Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Frye, 47, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008.

He was preceded in death by brother, Paul Allen Frye. Survivors include: parents, Charles Sanford Frye and Linda Joyce Hager Rich; sons, Charles and Colby Frye; daughter, Sabrina Crawford; five nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren.

Sharon Ruth Hawkes

Services for Mrs. Hawkes will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6 at Sellars Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, noon-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hawkes, 48, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008. She was owner of Sharon’s Daycare and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by father, William F. Johnson and brother, William Darryl Johnson. Survivors include: husband of 25 years, Mike Hawkes of Lebanon; children, Billy (Jenny) Harmon of Hartsville, Amy (Phillip) Allen and Emily Hawkes, both of Lebanon; mother, Dorice Downs Johnson; siblings, Sheila (Don) Smith of Lebanon, Susan (Johnny) Yount of Watertown, Belinda (David) Cox of Alexandria and Tim (Dora) Johnson of Norene; grandchildren, Phillip and Josh Allen and Angel and Bailey Harmon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
