Margaret Elizabeth Swindell Harlin
Services for Mrs. Harlin will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Head officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday and noon until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harlin, 96, of Lebanon, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Hearthside in Lebanon. She was the David Hannah Swindell and Maybelle Tuggle Swindell Oakley. She was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Church of Christ, Tuckers Crossroads Home Demonstration Club and the Tuckers Crossroads Grange.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, John David Harlin; daughter, Jane Harlin; brothers, Charlie, Henry and Pete Swindell; and sisters, Gladys White and Crickett Henry.
Survivors include: five nieces and three nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shane Henry, Phil Neal, Jim Goodall, Fred Reeder, Dan Reasonover and Sam D. Swindell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ina and Nora Neal, Steven and Candy Snyder, Ruth Horn and Deborah Hamilton.
William A. Howlett
Services for Mr. Howlett will be noon Thursday, July 24 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Howlett, 58, of Mt. Juliet, died Sunday, July 20, 2008.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ballard Preston and Maxine Howlett. Survivors include: wife, Donna Howlett; ; daughter, Janet Natasha Howlett; sons, Christopher Brandon and William A. Howlett Jr.; brothers, Stanley, James and Joseph Howlett; sisters, Katherine Kraus and Charlene Fay Sies; niece, Teresa Evans; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Gordon Doyle Queen
Services for Mr. Queen were Monday, July 21 at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, Ga. with the Rev. Hadley Shields officiating. Interment was in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Queen, 87, of Lebanon and formerly of Morganton, Ga. and Monroe, Mich., died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at his daughter's residence. He was born in McMinn County, Tenn. to the late Ira Gordon and Florence Turner Queen. He was a World War II veteran serving in Europe and earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, three children, four sisters and four brothers. Survivors include: daughter, Linda (Bill) Austin; grandchildren, Bill, Angie, Chris and Danny; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Odell Chancey.

Memorial services for Mrs. Talbert will be 6 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at Church of God Worship and Ministry Center in Lebanon.
Mrs. Talbert died Friday, July 18, 2008. She retired from Nortel and spent the remainder of her time caring for her husband and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, Joe W. Cole. Survivors include: husband, Mac Talbert; children, Jerry Hyatt, Donna Anne, Teresa D. Watkins, Cynthia Kaye Coppersmith, Mark L. and A. Craig Thompson and Lisa (Darren) Morse; step-children, Johnny and Judy Thompson; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Rainey; and brother, Joe W. Cole.
