Barbara Madewell Bates
Services for Mrs. Bates will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, at Sellars Funeral Home with Pastors Jerry P. Smith and Robert Kitchen officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service Friday.
Mrs. Bates, 69, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Bates; parents, Howard and Thelma Stults Madewell and brother, David Madewell.
Survivors include: sons, Tim (Cheryl) Bates, Tony (Kim) Bates and Toby (Cheryl) Bates; grandchildren, Laura, Nikki, Tyler, Carson and Callie Bates; sisters, Genelle (Melvin) Nelson and Sue Blevins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry Ashe, Larry Bowman, Don Hamblen, Barry Graves, Dayton Jamison, Bob White, Mike Owens and John Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Wilson County Sheriff's Dept.
Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mark Duncan Leavell
Graveside services for Mr. Leavell will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 20 in Cedar Grove Cemetery with his family officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9-11 a.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Leavell, 48, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at University Medical Center. He was a graduate of White Station High School in Memphis and was employed in retail management with H.E.B. Food Stores in Spring, Texas and Quik Stop Markets in Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Oscar and Autra Leavell; maternal grandparents, Fae and Nellie Duncan; father, Bobby Lavon Leavell; and sister, Marcia Ann Leavell.
Survivors include: mother, Martha Ann Duncan Leavell; brothers, Mike (Denise) and Mitchell (Mickie) Leavell; nephew, Clint Leavell; nieces, Kari Leavell and Crystal Thomas; children, Nicholas, Veronica and Jewell; and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be Michael and Justin Fulton, Cory Buhler, Cliff Matthews, Alan Humes and Gene Roller.
Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Ernest O. Mabry
Services for Mr. Mabry will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 20 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Bishop Robert Spain and Martin Theilen officiating. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 1 p.m. until the service at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville.
Mr. Mabry, 88, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009. He was an agent for the Tennessee Central Railroad, warehouse manager for Bruce Hardwood Flooring and a Wal-Mart greeter.
Survivors include: wife of 64 years, Blanche Been Mabry; daughter, Ernestine (Bobby) Irwin; son, Loyd (Deborah) Mabry; grandchildren, Laura Diane Patton, Matthan and Rachel Mabry; and great-grandchildren, Shon Norman and Kaidyn Patton.
Pallbearers will be Billy and Jerry Cook, Douglas and Alton Mabry, Don and Carl Carroll and Harold Newman.
