Essie Belle Bowen
Services for Mrs. Bowen will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 21 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. David Shannon officiating. Interment will be in Leeville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the service Friday.
Mrs. Bowen, 94, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008. She was the owner of Bowen's Grocery from 1961 to 1976 and she was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by husband, Pirt Bowen; son, Joe Frank Bowen; sisters, Annie Lee Riggan and Mary Jane Stewart; and brother, Arnold Griffin.
Survivors include: daughter, Peggy Lee Moore of Mt. Juliet; four grandchildren, Belinda Lee Woodard of Chocowinity, N.C., Joanna (Nickey) Walters of Lebanon, Frankie Bowen of Coopertown, Tenn., and James Alexander Silcox of Springfield, Tenn.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Casas will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 20 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bros. Marion Caruthers and George Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Casas, 45, died Monday, March 17, 2008. She was employed by TDS Telecom for more than 20 years.
Survivors include: husband, Danny Casas; parents, James â€œJimâ€ and Clara Sykes; daughter, Amber Venable; stepsons, Daniel Casas and Anthony Venable; stepdaughters, Rachele (Neil) Vonstorch, Kathalene Casas and Kelsey Casas; sister, Trudie (Freddie) Weston; nephew, Ethan Weston; niece, Brooke (Jonathan) Hines; and step-granddaughter, Kaylee Vonstorch.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Casas, Ethan Weston, Roy and Oscar Rice, Jonathan Hines, and Anthony Venable.
