Connie Lisa Hawn Murphy
Services for Mrs. Murphy will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Barry Ellis officiating. Interment will be in Maple View Cemetery in Smyrna. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Partlow Funeral Chapel and 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Murphy, 44, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Mrs. Murphy attended Immanuel Baptist, was a former employee of Wilson County Schools and Jersey Mike's and was recently employed as an optometrist's assistant with Family Eye Med.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Cecil and Lennis Hawn; maternal grandfather, Edward Earl; brother, Staff Sgt. Asbury Hawn II; and niece, Hope Brownlow.
Survivors include: husband, Joseph Murphy; sons Matthew Joseph Murphy and Michael Scott Murphy; parents, Asbury F. and Faith W. Earl Hawn; maternal grandmother, Olive Mary Earl; sisters Faith (Derwin) Hawn Brownlow and Teresa Rose (Roy) Hawn Heriges; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark and Stephen Boring, Anthony and Daniel Brownlow, David Hittel, Charles Carden and Andrew Heriges.
Boy Scouts and leaders of the Middle Tennessee Council will be honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association.
