Services for Mr. Baird will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Chuck Groover and Joe Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Baird, 88, of Mt. Juliet, died Nov. 12, 2007. He was a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church and graduate of Lebanon High School.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ridley and Pearl Clemmons Baird; wife, Eleanor Burnett Baird; brothers, Alex, Clyde, Hugh and Richard Baird; and sisters, Sarah Smith, Lucy Alsup, Johnnie Kate Gourley and Alleen Smith. Survivors include: daughters, Austelle (Don) Smartt and Myra (John) Simms; grandchildren, Kerry (Chad) Swallows, Lisa and Jack Simms and Joshua Smartt; great-granddaughter, Ellie Swallows; sister and brother-in-law, Myra and Verner Bates; sisters-in-law, Mamie and Clara Baird; and caregiver, Dorothy Carter.

Mrs. Keith, 42, of Joelton, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007.

Mrs. Newman, 84, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at her residence. She was a member of Vine Baptist Church and retired from Lux Robertshaw Division.
She was preceded in death by parents, John Sr. and Dolly Barrett McCrary; husband, James Grover Newman; infant son, Jerry David Newman; sisters, Thelma Jernigan and Mary Wright; and brothers, John Jr. and Jerry McCrary. Survivors include: sons, John (Brenda) Newman of Smyrna and Joe (Pat) Newman of Lebanon; daughter, Judy (Eddie) McCrary of Lebanon; sisters, Voline Perry, Mildred (Roy) Gannon and Elizabeth McCrary, all of Lebanon; brother, Frank (Ruthann) McCrary of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Ruby McCrary; grandchildren, Donnese Shelton, Susie Rivard, Deanna Blackmon, Joey Newman, Belinda (Jimmy) Haynes, Todd McCrary and Shawna Jennnings; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Survivors include: daughter, Diane (Rocky) Whitehouse; sons, Harley Jr. (Cheryle), Tony (Brenda) and Jeff (Karen) Pack; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and best friends, Leroy Tiller.

Mrs. Sutter, 51, of Watertown, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007 at her residence.
Survivors include: husband, Wayne Sutter of Watertown; daughter, Kelli Sutter of Watertown; son, Michael (Maya) Sutter of Murfreesboro; father, Dan (Nancy) Crossland of Cleveland, Okla.; and brother, Danny Crossland of Tulsa, Okla.

Leona Gentry Rodgers Trusty

Mrs. Trusty, 89, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at NHC Health Care in Hendersonville. She worked at the Lebanon Garment Factory for many years and was a member of the Rocky Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin and Polly Florence Eidson Gentry; her two husbands, Finis Rodgers and Lester Trusty; a son, Carl Phillip â€œBuddyâ€ Rodgers; two brothers, James Franklin Gentry and Samuel Morgan Gentry; and two sisters, Geneva Jarrell and Verna May Gentry.
Survivors include: three children, Martha (Wayne) Justice of Hendersonville; Peggy (Ernest) Fischer of Bradenton, Fla.; and Finis Ray (Vicki) Rodgers of Alexandria; a sister, Fannie Bell Warren of Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
