James Kenneth Lea
Services for Mr. Lea will 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lea, 59, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007. He is preceded in death by parents Austin and Patty Hackney Lea; brothers A.C. "Slick" Lea, Robert Lea and David "Tarzan" Lea; and sister Hester Howard.
Survivors include: wife Thelma "Betty" Lea; daughter Janet (Michael) Cook of Gordonsville; step-son Donnie (Ashley Pendleton) Bond Jr. of Lebanon; siblings Lucille (Douglas) Hobbs, Ruth Rickett, Virginia Hallums, Margie (Bill) Trice and Sue Barnes, all of Lebanon; special grandaughter Alana Pendleton; grandsons Austin Lankford and Ethan Cook of Gordonsville; special great-nephew Xavier Balance; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Baines, Bobby Holley, Bill Hall, Johnie Sims, Robert "Bubba" Bland and Billy Sellars.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Joe Bryant, Dr. Wayne Wells and staff, Dr. Vijay Pethkar and staff, former Le-Al-Co Storm and First Baptist Softball state championship teams, ICU staff at UMC, Hometown Respiratory staff and NHC Home Healthcare staff.
Michael Earl Midgett
Services for Mr. Midgett will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Revs. Dorris Manning and Dick Gillespie officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Midgett, 49, of Watertown, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at his home. He was a graduate of Watertown High School, Cumberland College and Middle Tennessee State University. A certified public account with Parker Seal, he was a frequent participant in motorcycle rides to raise funds for cancer research. He was preceded in death by parents Earl and Clara Mae Poston Midgett.
Survivors include: wife Glenda Williams Midgett; son Wesley Michael Midgett; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Patton, Donald Patton, Butch Sullivan, Clyde Vantrease, William Poston, Terry Poston, Ricky Waddle, Don Poston and John Donald House.
