Clarence Shannon Carroll
Services for Mr. Carroll will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5 at Ligon & Bob Funeral Home with the Revs. Donald Owens and Barry Ellis officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Carroll, 84, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at his home. He was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where had served as deacon and trustee. He retired from Ford Glass in 2002, where he had worked since 1961. He was an Army veteran in World War II and a 32nd-degree Mason. He was preceded in detah by parents Ernest Powell and Flora Woodall Carroll; infant daugter Flora Lucille Carroll; brother Marshall Powell Carroll and an infant sister.
Survivors include: wife Martha Bryan Carroll; children John (Penny) Carroll and Lou Ann (Randy) Katzenmiller, both of Lebanon; grandchildren Jeannie (Stuart) Moore of Nashville and Craig Dustin Katzenmiller of Lebanon.
Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Lenning, Tom Malin, Noble Carroll, Dr. Roger McKinney, Sandi Bass, Darlene Draper, Jenice Vaden, Robin Wilson and Marilyn Evans.
Ruth Major Drake
Services for Mrs. Drake will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Walters officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5.
Mrs. Drake, 85, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at her residence. She was a homemaker and member of Bairds Mill Church of Christ for more than 70 years. She was preceded in death by parents Prentice and Minnie Thompson Major; husband James R. Drake; brothers Dr. Robert C. (Katherine) Thompson and William Dean Thompson; and nephew William Dean Thompson Jr.
Survivors include: sister Eula Mae McDaniel; son James R. â€œJimâ€ Drake; niece Marilyn (Terry) Hemontolor; nephews Terry Thomas Thomspon, Robert C. Thompson Jr., Dr. John Thompson, Dr. Joe Thompson; sister-in-law Mildred Thompson Patton; several great-nephews and nieces; special great-nephew Zachary (Kelli) Hemontoler and special great-niece Jamie (Cory) Cook; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
Nephews Zachary Hemontoler, Cory Cook, Terry Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Christ Thompson will serve as pallbearers.
