Services for Mrs. Christian will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 at Sellers Funeral Home with Bro. James Shutt and Glenn Denton. Interment will be at Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. til the service.
Mrs. Christian, 67, of Lebanon died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008
She was preceded in death by husband, Bernice Christian; parents, Carl and Mildred Blackburn Dillard.
She is survived by sons, Rev. Michael (Phyllis) Christian, Eddie Christian and Bernie Christian; grandchildren, Daniel and Hunter Christian, and Rachel Christian; three sisters, Paula (Robert) Proffitt, Pat Clevenger, and Pam (Dan) Petrey.
Family and friends will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be past employees of Lebanon Bank and Sunday School Class at Hillcrest Baptist.
Services for Mr. Evans will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Lakewood Baptist Church in Beechgrove with Bro. Ronnie Smith and Bro. Wade Campbell officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Evans, 82, of Alexandria and formerly of Manchester, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 at University Medical Center. He was the son of the late John W. and Dora Ella Williams Evans. He served as a Minister and was a member of the Lakewood Baptist Church in Beechgrove for 13 years along with his wife of 61 years, Bessie Duke Evans of Alexandria. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Thomas Michael Evans and three sisters.
Survivors include: his wife; sons, Donald (Tammy) Evans of Alexandria and Nathan (Kathy) Evans of Orange, Calif.; sister; Dora Lee Binkley of Madison; grandchildren, John (Mandy) Evans of Franklin, Ky., Amie (Drake) Recard of Lebanon and Matthew Evans of Orange; step-grandchildren, David and Ashley Evans; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Kidney Foundation.
Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Services for Mr. Massey will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Davis officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Massey, 50, of Lebanon, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and Cumberland University. He was a farmer and worked in the purchasing department at University Medical Center for 25 years. He was a member of Tuckers Crossroads United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: wife of 22 years, Sylvia Clark Massey; daughter, Mandy (Alex) Rogers; parents, Haywood and Claudine Massey; and brothers, Larry (Shirley) and Mike Massey, all of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Alex Rogers, Lee Clark, Tom Bobo, David Buck, Rusty Thompson and Jeff Lannom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, New Leash on Life, or Westland United Methodist Church.
Mary Ellen Baty Murray

Mrs. Murray, 83, of Lebanon, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Anderson and Effie Sandlin Baty. She retired from Texas Boot with 36 years of service and was a member of West Hills Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents; infant daughter, Jeanette Murray; sister, Katie Nell Owens; and brothers, Dink and Dillard Baty. Survivors include: husband of 63 years, Hubert Murray; children, Warren (Janice) Murray of Watertown and Elaine (Ward) Winfree of Brush Creek; grandchildren, Chad Murray of Mt. Juliet, Kristi (Michael) Marsh of Watertown and Michael and Ryan Winfree, both of Brush Creek; and great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Renee Spencer of Brush Creek.
Pallbearers will be Chad Murray, Michael and Ryan Winfree, Jerry and Billy Baty and Michael Marsh.
Memorials may be made to West Hills Baptist Church Building Fund.
Services for Mr. Walker will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at Hellum Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Adams officiating. Interment will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Walker, 76, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 at Summit Medical Center.
Survivors include: son, Christopher Walker; daughters, Shaundra (Edward) Gordon, Melvina (Joel) Terry and Glynis (Thomas) Bowie; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Francis), John (Margaret) and Sam (Felita) Bell and Ernest (Marcella) McClain; sister, Evelyn Houston; mother of his children, Alice Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frankie R. Watkins
Services for Mrs. Watkins will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 at Hellum Funeral Home with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Visitation will be noon until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Watkins, 65, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital.
She was preceded in death by mother, Elnora Burford; father, Frank Fultz; and brother, William Fultz. Survivors include: son, Charles Curtis Smith of Lebanon; grandchildren, Ah'Daja and Charla Smith of Lebanon; sisters, Beverly Salter and Joyce McMurray, both of Lebanon and Elizabeth Richardson of Murfreesboro; brothers-in-law, Roy Salter of Lebanon and Jimmy Richardson of Murfreesboro; aunts, Frances Crenshaw of Gallatin and Ethalyne Seay of Pontiac, Mich.; companion, Jesse Marable of Lebanon; caregiver and friend, Carolyn West of Madison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family connections.
