Marie Word Cozart
Services for Mrs. Cozart will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Lyon officiating. Interment will be in Jennings Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cozart, 75, of Watertown, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at her residence. She was a homemaker and attended Statesville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Ressie Word; brother, Marlon Word; and son, Larry Cozart. Survivors include: husband, Tommy Cozart of Watertown; daughter, Marlene (Duane) Vanhook of Lebanon; daughter, Lynn (Martha) Cozart of Watertown; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Dixon will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 at Hermitage Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dixon, 83, of Gallatin, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008.
She was preceded in death by husband, Bud Dixon; daughters, Gayle Dixon, Shelby Tuttle and Patricia Stephens; grandson, Michael Dixon; great-great-granddaughter, Kenndie Riggsbee; sisters, Gladys Gentry and Jean Hawkins; and brothers, Jessie and Ellie McGuire. Survivors include: daughters, Wanda Ann (Jackie) Riggsbee and Faye (Jerry) Graham; sons, Buddy Jr. (Janette) and Billy (Margaret) Dixon; sister, Irene Deering; brother, Comer McGuire; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Billie Marie Shortridge
Services for Mrs. Shortridge will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jason Lohorn officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Shortridge, 74, of Lebanon, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at her residence. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by parents, William Sherman and Mary Belle Clark Sanders; husband, Kermit Shortridge; son, James Keith Shortridge; and brothers, Otis and Cecil Sanders. Survivors include: daughters, Debra (Kevin) Carpenter and Wilma (Robert) Warner, both of Lebanon; sisters, Evelyn Sanders, Betty Alsup and Jill Hamilton, all of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
