Bessie Mae Bender

Services for Mrs. Bender will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at Hellum Funeral Home with Eld. James R. Brooks officiating. Interment will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Nashville. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bender, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at her residence. She attended Laguardo Baptist Church and was a member of the church choir.

She was preceded in death by parents, George and Elizabeth Britton; five brothers; and husband, Leroy Bender. Survivors include: daughter, Beaudy (Huey) Brown; sons, George and Kenneth (Leona) Seay; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Martha (Thomas) Mitchell; brothers, Robert, Jerry, Harry and James (Doris) Britton; brother-in-law, William Howard (Nellie) Bender; sisters-in-law, Mary and Rosie Lee Britton and Beatrice and Odelia Bender; nephew, Robert (Boo-Boo) Britton; friends, Ann Boyd, Virgie Talley and Conway (Jean) Stockton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary D. "Miss Mary" Brannum

Mrs. Brannum, 58, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at her residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. She was previously employed by Shoney's, Ponderosa, Toshiba, Ryan's Steakhouse and Bad Bob's BBQ.

Survivors include: one brother and one sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wilson County Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.

Wilson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Melanie Shantel Davis

Services for Mrs. Davis will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 at McDonald Funeral Home Inc. in Hohenwald, Tenn. with Thomas Vann officiating. Interment will be in Davis-Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis, 35, of Hohenwald, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at St. Thomas Alive Hospice. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: husband, Mike Davis of Hohenwald; father, Ronnie Bates of Lebanon; parents, Terry and Jean Goodman Smith of Watertown; son, Aaron Davis of Hohenwald; daughter, Allison Michelle Davis of Hohenwald; brother, Robert Smith of Lebanon; and sisters, Joy Zimmerman and Teri "Pooh" Smith, both of Hohenwald.

Nina Ruth Hudson Payne

Services for Mrs. Payne will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Payne, 90, of Hermitage, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Mt. Juliet Health Care. A 1938 graduate of Watertown High School, she retired from Genesco and was a member of Pennington Bend United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Marvin Ross Payne; and parents, Wilford and Lura Johnson Hudson.

Survivors include sister, Willette (Charles) Hall of Hermitage.

Charles Ricky Watkins

Services for Mr. Watkins will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. George Coaker officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Tenn. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Watkins, 54, of Watertown, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital. He was a remodeling subcontractor.

He was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Lucille Watkins; wife, Deborah Watkins; and brother, Jimmy Watkins. Survivors include: sister, Janie (Carl) Rogers of LIvingston; brother, Jack (Karen) Watkins of Livingston; niece, Jennifer (Kevin) Cauley of Hendersonville; nephew, Richard Rogers of Corpus Christi, Texas; great-nieces and nephews, Justin and Amy Rogers and Balie Cauley; mother-in-law, Louise Turrentine of Alexandria; and sister-in-law, Louise Watkins.

Walter Williamson

Services for Mr. Williamson will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bill Speight officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Willamson, 71, of Mt. Juliet, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008. He was a native of Blythewood, Ark., a member of Center Chapel Church of Christ and a retired truck driver for Roadway Express.

He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Myrtle Evelyn Johnson Williamson. Survivors include: wife, Peggy Williamson of Mt. Juliet; son. Lt. Duane (Barbara) Williamson of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Tracy Danter of Mt. Juliet; sister, Mary Jo Crow of Metamora, Ill.; and grandchildren, Christopher, Gregory, Rct. Jesse, Alex and Cody Williamson and Angela and Tina Jaramillo.
