William "Bill" Christian
Services for Mr. Christian will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rodney Haskins officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Christian, 73, of Lebanon died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 at University Medical Center. A member of Temple Baptist Church, he was retired from the city of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by parents, Forrest and Ova Christian.
Survivors include: wife, Lee Harris Christian; children, Lonnie Christian, Pat (Mack) Thompson, Linda Sutton, Randy Christian and Philip (Marsha) Christian, all of Murfreesboro, and Debra Jensen of Louisville, Ky.; step-children, Audrey (Pete) Bain, Buddy Harris and friend Kenneth Klapp, and Jamie (Stephanie) Harris; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
Members of the City of Lebanon Gas Department will serve as pallbearers.
Lonnie Christian will act as honorary pallbearer.
James R. Dodson
Services for Mr. Dodson will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Don McElroy officiating. Interment at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Home, as well as 2 p.m. until the service at First Baptist.
Mr. Dodson, 82, or Lebanon died Monday Oct. 27 at Alive Hospice. He was a World War II Army veteran; retired with 31 years from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Captain of the Cookville and Nashville districts and serve four years as the Chief of Lebanon Police Department. Mr. Dodson was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Richmond and Lula Dodson and sister, Emogene Clark.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dot Dodson; sons, Derek Dodson, Darren Dodson and Damon (Rachal) Dodson; grandchildren, Caroline, Jack and Denton Dodson.
Pallbearers will be the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lebanon Police Department, special fishing friends and Elaine's Restaurant group.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alive Hospice.
John Loyd Sturgill
Services for Mr. Sturgill will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Bond.
Mr. Sturgill, 69, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parent, Aubrey and Beulah Delph Sturgill.
Survivors include wife, Mary Sturgill of Mt. Juliet, son, Mike (Gina) Sturgill of Monroe, Mich., and grandchildren Jodee Petiprin and Mason Sturgill.
