Memorial service and interment for Mr. Estes will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Jennings Cemetery with Bros. Jackie Gaddes and Javin Lawson officiating. The family will gather for visitation during the day Saturday at 1661 Chapman Hollow Road.
Mr. Estes, 62, of Dowelltown, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008. He was a logger and attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Houston and Ollie Mae Murphy Estes; sons, Douglas and Daniel Estes; and brother, Alton Estes. Survivors include: children, J.R. Estes of Auburntown, Timothy Lynn Estes of Watertown, Donny Estes of Dowelltown, April Estes of Carthage and Christopher Estes of Statesville; and five grandchildren.

Services for the Rev. Jarrett will be noon Saturday, Sept. 13 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lebanon with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Rest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.
The Rev. Jarrett, 82, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 at University Medical Center.
Survivors include: wife, Thelma Jarrett; sister, Emma Jarrett Lewis; nieces, Harriet and Yvonne Jarrett and Karen Jarrett Patton; nephews, James, Anthony and Harry Jarrett; great-nephews, Sky Trammel and Aaron Patton; step-sons, Bobby and James Seay, Michael (Darlene) Starks and Walleed (Sandra) Shabbazz; step-daughters, Brenda Pena and Lori Starks; grandchildren, Larenza and Bren' Niro Bowman, Jackie Taylor, Ronnie Seay and Montoria Crutchfield; great-grandchildren, K'Ratio Word, Jeff Quez and Rakiyyah and Zakiyyah Bowman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
