Thomas J. Beasley

Services for Mr. Beasley will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Beasley, 75, of Hermitage, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008.
He was preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Lora Payne Beasley; brother, Kenneth Beasley; and sister, Dorothy Garrett. Survivors include: wife of 55 years, Dorothy Jean Parson Beasley; daughters, Diana Sullivan and Melinda (Michael) Whitlow; grandchildren, Denise (Keith) Akins and Michael Whitlow; and great-grandchild, Justin Wells.

Pallbearers will be Justin Wells, Keith Akins, Rick Garrett, Michael and Mike Whitlow and the Beasley family.

Carl Andrew Scruggs

Services for Mr. Scruggs will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Anthony Funeral Home in Hartsville with Elds. Guthrie Thompson and Joe Porter officiating. Interment will be in Dixon Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Scruggs, 93, of Hartsville and formerly of Tuckers Crossroads, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 at University Medical Center. He was on old time fiddler and won awards in Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama. He was a farmer and retired from the Wilson County Board of Education.
