Robert Henry Bloodworth
Services for Mr. Bloodworth will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aprill 11 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bros. Julious Hovan, Hugh Fulford and Harold Young officiating. Interment will be at the Bloodworth Family Home Place in Laguardo. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bloodworth, 68, of Laguardo, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He attended Cumberland and Vanderbilt Universities. He retired from Avco/Textron Aerostructures and was a member of Laguardo Church of Christ and Lebanon Masonic Lodge No. 98 F&AM.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry Louis and Evelyn Anderson Bloodworth. Survivors include: wife, Willadean Masters Bloodworth; son, Tony (Melissa) Porter-Bloodworth of Mt. Juliet; step-daughter, Debbie Porter of Chapmansboro; sister, Ann Bloodworth Boyd of Laguardo; foster-brother, Henry Wills of Lebanon; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brent and Dylan Boyd, Steve Crocker, Stacy Meadows, Randy Oatsvall, and Bill Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Beasley and William "Smitty" Smith.
Walter Thomas "Tom" Crook
Services for Mr. Crook will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Glenn Denton officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Crook, 67, of Lebanon, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at University Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by father, Malone Crook; mother, Cloie Crook Belcher; stepfather, Albert Belcher; brother, Paul Crook; and halfbrother, Harlis Belcher. Survivors include: sister, Pauline "Daisey Mai" Crook of Lebanon and several cousins.
Pallbearers will be Randy Roberts, Larry Parkerson, Gerald and Ted Denny, Terry Stone, Jim York, Jerry and Paul Vance and Jeff Stone. Honorary pallbearers will be the Love Sunday School class at HIllcrest Baptist Church, Dr. Roger McKinney, Dr. Bill Robertson, Dr. Shaw, Dr. Matthews and Keith Winfree.
Margaret Sue Thompson Phillips
Services for Mrs. Phillips will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bros. Danny Sellars, Glenn McDonald and Keith Pulley officiating. Interment will be in Conatser Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Phillips, 65, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital. She was a member of VIne Baptist Church, a homemaker and a forklift driver with Stone Container Corp. in Missouri for 29 years.
She was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Emma Gill Thompson; brothers, Boots, Glenn "Lizzard" and James "Rabbit" Thompson; and sister-in-law, Tommy Sue Thompson. Survivors include: husband of 24 years, Norm Phillips of Lebanon; son, Curtis Scott Lehew and his fiancee Misty Bobier of Lebanon; daughter, Tina (Don) Harper of Gallatin; brothers, Buddy (Brenda) Thompson of Celina, Bobby (Donna) and Paul Donald (Josephine) Thompson, both of Lebanon; sister, Ruth (Randy Wise) Lackey of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Curtis Lehew Jr. of Missouri, Annie (Stephen) Scruggs, Maggie Lehew, Brooke, Adam and Bailee Kufner; great-grandchildren, Emmitt Jackson, Oakley Bright, Ayden Kufner, Victoria "Torie" Scruggs and Curtis Anthony and Karista Joanne Lehew; and special friends.
Rev. Gene N. Rutledge
Services for Mr. Rutledge will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Bowden officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Hearn Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Rutledge, 71, of Lake Charles, La., died Tuesday, April 8, 2008. He served as Minister of Music, Youth and Education for over 30 years at Southern Baptist Churches in Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana and Kentucky. He was a graduate of West End High School and Belmont College. He served in the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by parents, C.A. and Annie Lee Hearn Rutledge; and daughter, Iris Kay Call. Survivors include: wife, Gretel Hoeltig Rutledge of Lake Charles; son, Kenneth Alan Rutledge of Louisville, Ky.; daughters, Myra Lee Palmer of Pensacola, Fla., Janet Evelyn West of Lake Charles and Sandra Gaye Purdy of Louisville; sister, Donna Marie Chambers of Lubbock, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
