Mildred Smith Baker
Services for Mrs. Baker will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Sellars Funeral Home with Brothers Bernie Zielsdorf and Danny Sellars. Interment will be Fairview Cemetery in Norene. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 27, from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 29, from noon until service.
Mrs. Baker, 70, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at her home. She was a member of the Fall Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Baker; parents, Merritti Jack and Anna Belle White Travis; son-in-law; Roger Dale Brown and brother-in-law, Lee â€œBoâ€ McPeak.
Survivors include: children, Mary Brown, Nancy (Renn) Cottrell, James Steven Smith and Charles â€œCharleyâ€ Wayne (Vickie) Smith. all of Lebanon; step-sons, Robert and Ned Baker of Lebanon; step-daughter, Carmen Baker, of Louisiana; sister, Dorothy McPeak of Norene; father of children, J.W. (Ann) Smith; aunt, Aretha Oakley of Lebanon; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews.
Pall bearers will be Charles â€œDickeyâ€ Moss, Rodney Rogers, Daniel Dawson, Timothy Smith, Joseph Chaney and Jamie Irons.
Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
Troy Dee Brooks
Services for Mr. Brooks will be noon Thursday, Aug. 30 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. Hugh Fulford officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Brooks, 77, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007.
He was preceded in death by son, Troy Brooks Jr.; grandson, Troy Brooks III; brothers Bill (Velma) and Arthur (Norma) Brooks; sisters, Sue (Bobby) Mills and Jo (James) Westbrook. Survivors include: wife, JoAnn Brooks; daughters, Belinda (David) Willoughby and Virginia Sexton; grandsons, Jason Brooks and Gregg Sexton; great-gradnchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, Zoe and Joshua; sisters, Ruby (Bill) Blanchett and Yvonne (Tony) Pryor; and brothers, Don (Gail), Bobby (Patsy) and Reese (Mary) Brooks.
Pallbearers will be family.
Dennis Michael Cain
Services for Mr. Cain will be conducted at a later date in Richmond, Mich.
Mr. Cain, 57, of Hermitage, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Catherine Hardesty Cain.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Helzer; children, Tara (Jerred) Kaupp, Dale Cain and Kelly (Derrick) Evans; step-children, Michael Helzer, George Helzer and Theresa Helzer; sisters, Patricia (Benjamin) Webster and Gladys (David) Verbrugge; grandchildren, Bradley, Tanner, Juleana, Emma, Jake, Allison, Dylan, Paige and Olivia and step-grandchildren, Hailey and Cameron.
Bond Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Fred Wilson Holman
A memorial and celebration for Mr. Holmanâ€™s life were held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lebanon.
Mr. Holman, 73, of Lebanon, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007 at University Medical Center. He was the son of the late Howard Ray and Mary Francis Davis Holman. He was a Baptist, an Army veteran and a retired salesman for Belknap Hardware and Wallace Hardware. He was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. He also had a booth at Parkland Flea Market in Lebanon.
Survivors include: wife, Jean Davis Holman; daughter, Lori (Darwin) Spain of Nashville; sister, Wanda Lee Gripp of Louisville, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Isabella Grace, Elijah Creed, Zoe Navene, India Mizelle and Zeke Bula Spain, all of Nashville.
Hughes Funeral Home in Fountain Run, Ky., was in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Meals on Wheels.

Bertha Rose McCulloch
Services for Mrs. McCulloch will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Hunters Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Owens officiating. Interment will be in Flatwood cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCulloch, 71, of Alexandria, Tenn., died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from Wynns Precision where she worked for 28 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Carson McCulloch; a son, Jackie Grandstaff; parents, John William and Nannie Clara Garrison; a brother, James Garrison; and a sister, Elsie Mae McGregor.
Survivors include: four children, Debbie (Gary) Jones of Lebanon, John (Darlene) McCulloch of Lebanon, Phil (Alice) McCulloch of Florida and Susan (Nathan) Cox of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, Gary Jones Jr. and Melanie Jones, Dust and Luke McCulloch, Mike and Rachel Smith, and Kelly, Katlyn and P.J. McCulloch; six great-grandchildren, Ashtyen, Chase, Brandon, Anthony, Paris and Daltine; a brother, Hoyte (Lucille) Garrison of Alexandria; a brother-in-law, Jerry (Connie) McCulloch of Lebanon; a sister-in-law, Willie Mae Garrison; nieces, Judy Arms, Betty Robinson, Wanda Stoner and Angie Jill McCulloch; and nephews, David McGregor, Ronnie Garrison and Jerry McCulloch Jr.
