Virginia Kay Morton
Services for Mrs. Morton were held Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Gregory officiating. Interment was in Gordonsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Morton, 48, of Rome, Tenn., died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Bessie Virginia Summers and Tommy Allan Kennedy. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by parents, and son, Nathaniel Jones. Survivors include: daughters, Karrisa (Daniel) Moore of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Mandy (Shane) Dodge of Flora, Ill.; grandchildren, Daniel Moore Jr. and Natalie and Elijah Dodge; brothers, Tommy (Mary) Kennedy of Lebanon, William (Mary) Kennedy of Carthage, and Tony and Dale Kennedy, both of Lebanon; sisters, Janice Faye (Billy) King of Lebanon and Sue Ann (Roger) Gregory of Rome; and many nieces and nephews.
Gary Lee Wilson
Services for Mr. Wilson will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bros. William Hayes and Bob Knox officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson, 60, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Nashville. He was the son of Garland and Lottie Evans Wilson. He was a graduate of Cottage Grove High School and Middle Tennessee State University. He was a Vietnam veteran, a member of Adams Avenue Church of Christ and worked as a security guard and maintenance worker at Hunters Point Golf Course.
Survivors include: parents; brother, Howard (Deanna) Wilson; sister, Rita (David) Maynard; niece, Kris (Tyson) Davis; and great-nephew, Greer Davis, all of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Orbie Eubanks, Ed and Pete Martin, Stanley Boynton, Tommy and Jerry Davis, Billy Mofield and Robert Owen. Honorary pallbearers will be employees and patrons of Hunters Point Golf Course.
Edith Inez Worley
Services for Mrs. Worley will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31 at United Pentecostal Church in Lebanon with the Rev. James Allen and Rev. Rev. Sterneman officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel in Shelbyville.
Mrs. Worley, 80, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at Bedford County Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Erland Walton and Elizabeth Inez Wilcox. She was a homemaker and member of United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by parents; and husband, Robert Rossman Worley. Survivors include: daughter, Elizabeth (Wayne) Bradley of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Janie Dale, Kim Finch, Barbara Finley and Judy Price; and great-grandchildren, James and Jesse Dale, Miranda and Haley Finley, Lecia Burton and Skyler and Kaitlan Price.
