Mac B. â€œMackieâ€ Barnes Jr.
Services for Mr. Barnes will be 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at Bond Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Groover officiating with a eulogy by Ronny Lankford. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Barnes, 58, of Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant. He worked for 20 years at Chromalox in Murfreesboro and retired from Applied Thermal Systems. He was a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard and Army Reserve. He was a member of the Lions Club, a former Boy Scout Leader for Troop 91 in Mt. Juliet, and a master gardener.
He was preceded in death by parents Mac B. and Margaret Kerr Barnes.
Survivors include: wife Kathy George Barnes of Mt. Juliet; son Mac Bryan Barnes and his fiancee Erin Bodine of Knoxville; daughter Emily Barnes (Nick) Stiles of Memphis; sisters Mary Emily Barnes Brown of Nashville and Beverly Barnes of Murfreesboro; mother-in-law Jean George Brown of Murfreesboro; nieces and nephews Ashley and Allison Brown, Matthew and Adam Kennedy, and Andy and Molly Ashburn; and one great-niece.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Juliet Library, the Boy Scouts of America or the American Cancer Society.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronny Lankford and Larry Miller.
Peter Alfred Mecher Sr.
Services for Mr. Mecher were Saturday, Aug. 4 at Sellars Funeral Home with Chaplain Isabel Campbell officiating.
Mr. Mecher, 71, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007. He retired from the U.S. Air Froce as a Technical Sergeant after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents Peter Paul and Helen Stevens Mecher; brother Michael Mecher; and best friend Ernie Willows.
Survivors include: wife of 50 years, Anita Mecher; children Terry Mecher, Peter (Rhonda) Mecher Jr. and Melanie (Nicholas) Villiard; grandchildren Joshua Mecher, Kevin (Leanne) Feldt, Sara Feldt, and Anthony Hemmelgarn; siblings Richard (Pat) Stevens, Billy Mecher, Beatrice (Tony) Nardone, and Christine Cole; great-grandchildren Kaden Feldt, Kaylie Feldt, Aaliyah Dowell, and L.J. Clemmons.

Pallbearers were Terry Ashe, Robert Bryan, Greg Lasater, Jason Burns, Nicholard Villard and Rick Cozby. Honorary pallbearer was Otis Hayes.
Coy Alexander Sams
Services for Mr. Sams will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Moser officiating. Visitation will be Sunday Monday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Sams, 51, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. He was preceded in death by father Wiley Sams; daughter Heather Sams; sister Helen Lawson; and half-sister Regina Keefer.
Survivors include: wife Lori Lane Sams of Watertown; mother Joyce Sams (C.L.) Allen; children Melissa Sams and Bria (Joe) Allaband, all of Lebanon, and Coy Alexander Sams Jr. of Westmoreland; step-son Dusting Cummings of Watertown; six grandchildren; sister Patrica (David) Prock of Bon Aqua; half-sister Linda (Roger) Steele; brother Roy (Teresa) Sams of Lebanon; step-brothers Charles Allen of Kentucky and Ward Allen of Lebanon; step-sisters Cathy Lenk Pate of Nashville and Clare (Dave) Weidloker of Lebanon; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
