James Baker

Mr. Baker, 73, of Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007. He was preceded in death by parents Marshall and Daisy Lansford Baker; wife, Margaret Baker; and sister Evelyn Cloninger.

Survivors include: brothers William H. (Vera) Baker of Mt. Juliet and John Marshall (Sara) Baker of Tupelo, Miss.; sisters Nell Lovelace of Memphis and Ruth Ann (James) Mayo of Arlington, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

Gary Mack Matthews

Services for Mr. Matthews will be 1 p.m Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet with the Rev. Buddy Jarrell officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday and 12 p.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Matthews, 37, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007. He was preceded in death by grandparents Mike Wooten, Elizabeth Huffhine and Henry Clay and Margaret Louise Matthews.

Survivors include: father Mack Matthews; mother Nancy Matthews; sisters Sherri (Junior) Bradley and Terri (Michael) Potts; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends; and special cousin Melissa Winton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nashville Cares, 501 Brick Church Park Drive, Nashville, TN 37207.

Lelon Ray Richards

Services for Mr. Richards will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment with military honors will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Richards, 65, of Fairview, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007. He was retired from Dupont, had served in the Tennessee Army National Guard and was a member of the New Season Bluegrass Band. He was preceded in death by his parents Rich Prembrooke and Nancy Louise Kingston Richards.

Survivors include: wife Christy Richards; daughter Tonya Richards (Mark) Hinesley; stepson Mikey Thompson; “adopted” son Bubba Fann; brothers LeRoy (Helen) Richards, James Richards, Sammy Richards and Ronnie (Teresa) Richards; sisters Joanne (Jerry) Clinard; Mary Nell (Pop) Tobitt; Georgia Dell “Doodle” (Bob) Smith; Judy (George) Smith; and Freida Carter; grandchildren Shaee Flatt, Parker Flatt, Jacob Thompson, Radence Thompson and Allysa Thompson.

Active and honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Connie Morgan Whyte

Services for infant Connie were Sunday, Dec. 9 at Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens.

Infant Connie died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at University Medical Center.

Survivors include: parents Darren and Sheryl Whyte and one brother, all of Murfreesboro.

Disyal Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rickland Marshall Willey

Services for Dr. Willey will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Bond Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Blankenship and the Rev. Bart Gibbs officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at the the funeral home.

Dr. Willey, 52, of Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 . He had worked as a dentist in the Mt. Juliet area since 1983. He was a graduate of John Overton High School, Middle Tennessee State University, and the University of Tennessee Dental School at Memphis. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, the Tennessee Dental Association and the Nashville Dental Association. He was an advisor for the Republican National Fundraising Committee and a supporter of youth sports in Mt. Juliet. He was preceded in death by father Charles Neil Willey and grandparents Orman and Katie Bell Williams and Herbert and Myrtle Willey.

Survivors include: mother Jattie Willey of Hermitage; brother Wade Willey of Old Hickory; sisters Cathey (Mike) Ellis of Nashville and Jennifer (Steve) Herbert of Old Hickory; adopted sisters Tristan and Erica; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and Vikki Pirrone and his office staff.

Active pallbearers will be Greg White, Ted Hackett, Rick Durham, Steve Alcorn, David Moorefield, Michael Fair, Michael Anderson and Sal Pirrone.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Mike Atchley, Dr. Rick Spencer, Dr. Bill Carter, Dr. Bill Nave, Dr. Aaron Pryor, Dr. Jimmy Sheats, Dr. Marlin Grimes, Dr. Terry Sawyer, Bill Easley and Bob Coots.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the Vanderbilt Burn Center.

Al Willoughby

Services for Mr. Willoughby will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Shannon officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Willoughby, 51, of Mt. Juliet, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007. He was a member of Hermitage Presbyterian Church during his youth and was a graduate of Mt. Juliet High School, where he served as president of the Future Farmers of America. He received the American Farmer Degree was a current member of the Mt. Juliet FFA Alumni. He had worked for Civil Defense and was an inspector for West Wilson Utility District. He was preceded in death by grandparents Herman and Mary Roach and the Rev. A.H. and Edna Willoughby; and son Glen Cannon.

Survivors include: wife Patty Willoughby; parents Charlie and Dot Willoughby of Mt. Juliet; son, Steve (Janet) Cannon of Mt. Juliet; daughter Lisa (Steve) Pratt of Orlando, Fla.; brother Don Willoughby of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren Amy and Daniel Pratt and Joshua and Tiffany Cannon; niece and nephew Kate and Dale Willoughby; and several aunts, uncles and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Freddie Weston, Stant Eakes, Danny Eakes, Ray Griffin, Wayne Griffin, Justin Wheeler, Ricky Weston and David Harris.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of West Wilson Utility District, members of the Mt. Juliet FFA Alumni, the Glenn O. Hamblen family and Chuck Linville.

Memorials may be made to the Teddy Bear Program at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, Odyssey Hospice or the Mt. Juliet FFA Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Della V. Hobbs Wolfe

Services for Mrs. Hobbs will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Conaster Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wolfe, 86, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at the Lebanon Health and Rehab Center. A homemaker, she had worked for Sparkle Laundry and Dry Cleaning. She was a member of Adams Avenue Church of Christ. She was preceded by parents Sam and Mattie Cross Branham; husbands Hubert Rhea Hobbs and Joe B. Wolfe; son, Samuel Rhea Hobbs; brothers Wesley, Alfred and Raymond Branham; and sisters, Minnie Bennett, Bessie and Gertie Suddarth, Nellie Andrews, Agnes Goolsby and Earline Jones.

Survivors include: daughter, Mattie (Raymond) Hankins; grandchildren, Randy (Angela) Hankins and Anita (Gary) Mayo, all of Lebanon, and Mike (Marie) Hankins of Mt. Juliet; great-grandchildren Jacqueline Burgess, Stephanie Schott, Christopher Hankins, Heather Brown, Tiffany Stafford, Brittany Lloyd, Colton Willitts, Christina Hankins and Kyler Hankins; great-great-grandchildren Noah Burgess and Cayden Brown; step-daughter Barbara Robertson of Lebanon; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Randy, Mike and Christopher Hankins, Jason Burgess, Craig Brown and James Schott
