Shirleena Ann Allen

Memorial services for Mrs. Allen will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at Sellars Funeral Home with Chaplain Michael Reid officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allen, 37, of Hartsville, passed away Dec. 9, 2008.

She was preceded in death by parents, Buddy and Barbara Paxton Johnston; and grandparents, Riley and Elsie Jackson and Shirley Paxton.

Survivors include: husband, Charles Allen of Hartsville; grandfather, J.L. Paxton of Wolfforth Texas; uncles, Bruce (P.J.) Paxton of Midland, Texas, Barry (Kay) Paxton of Brownfield, Texas, Jerry Paxton of August, Ga. and James Jackson of Brownfield; aunt, Retha Jackson of Brownfield; and numerous friends and family.

Memorial donations may be made in the name of Sherry Allen at Regions Bank.

Frank Coles

Graveside services for Mr. Coles will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 in Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Greg Smith officiating. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday at Partlow Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Coles, 44, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at his residence. He was a member of Rahma Baptist Church in Norene and a truck driver with Allied Waste.

He was preceded in death by father, James Benton Coles; wife, Katherine Callis Coles; and sister, Nancy Silcox. Survivors include: mother, Edna Ann Coles; sons, Cody, James Benton "J.B." and Travis Clayton Coles; daughter, Amanda Coles; brother, Charles (Melinda) Coles; granddaughter, Harmony Rose Coles; nieces, Christy (Bill) Slavens and Whitney Coles; and nephews, James Michael and Walter Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends from the Depot Junction in Watertown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James and Travis Coles Fund at Wilson Bank & Trust.

Ora Lee Williamson Ewing

Services for Mrs. Ewing will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Williamson Chapel CME Church in Old Hickory with the Rev. Woodrow Harris Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Ewing Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hellum Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the church.

Mrs. Ewing, 73, of Old Hickory, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at Alive Hospice in Madison.

Survivors include: husband, James Alvin Ewing Sr.; daughter, Lena (Jack) Granderson; sons, James Jr. and Mark (Angelia) Ewing; grandchildren, Christopher, Adreianne (Mordell), Phillip (Arlene) and Tony; great-grandchildren, Glenn, Mordell and Jayivon; sisters, Doris Sowell, Charlene (Zelander) Hockett, Mary Linda Hanes, Ada (Carl) Taylor and Betty and Deborah Williamson; brothers, James (Anne), Robert and Michael (Nina) Williamson; uncle, Charles McHolland Sr.; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Andrew Clemmons Sr., Lovie Jenkins, Dorothy (Jake) Carnahan, Lola (Edmond) Johnson and William (Dorothy) Ewing; 58 nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; cousins, Mildred (Carl) Bailey, Mattie and Jessie McHollin, Geraldine (Jerome) Clark and Wayne (Janice) McHolland.

Everett Raiford "Ray" Goodman

Funeral services for Mr. Goodman are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Skelton Funeral Home in Reform, Ala. with Eld. Chris Hollingsworth and Eld. Bobby Payne officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Fayette County, Ala. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Skelton Funeral Home.

Mr. Goodman, 74, of Lebanon and formerly of Carrollton, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at his residence. He was the son of the late Albert Manus Goodman and Lorene P. Nixon. He was a graduate of Carrollton High School and a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Mt. Hebron Primitive Baptist Church. He retired from United Technologies as an inspector.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Goodman and a sister, Lela Sue Goodman.

Survivors include: wife of 36 years, Gracy B. Robertson Goodman; children, Marty (Debbie) Goodman and Donna Jo (Marlin) McCool, all of Gordo, Ala.; step-children, Joan Howard of Lebanon and Larry Howard of Nashville; sister, Patsy (Curtis) Parham of Gordo; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Linda Hale

Services for Mrs. Hale will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Bond Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Whited officiating. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. EST, Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Masonic Cemetery in Concord, Tenn. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hale, 69, of Old Hickory, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008. She was a member of Hickory Hills Baptist Church and was retired from the Maintenance Division of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Old Hickory District. Mrs. Hale was involved in the Mt. Juliet Little League Girls Softball. In 1974, she was the first coach to take a girls softball team from Mt. Juliet to the State Championship. She won the State and Regional Championships.

She was preceded in death by her son, Barry Hale; parents, James Thomas and Edith Jane Fox Brashier; sisters, Helen Johnson, Katherine Knox and Jane Irvin.

Survivors include: husband of 52 years, Alvin Hale of Old Hickory; sons, Tony (Kim) Hale on Lenoir City, Tenn. and Danny (Jean) Hale of Gallatin; daughter, Lysa Smith of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, James Brashier; sister, Ruth Loy and grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Brittani Hale, Courtney Smith, Megan Hale, Cassidy Hale and Lindsey Hale.

Grace Garman Kidwell

Services for Mrs. Kidwell will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Diffenderfer officiating. Interment will be in Jones Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kidwell, 98, of Watertown, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at Lebanon Health and Rehab. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for many years with UMC Volunteer Auxillary.

She was preceded in death by husband, James Doyle Kidwell; parents, Rev. Forest and Nellie Roth Garman; and sister, Johanna Garman.

Survivors include: son, James F. (Martha) Kidwell of Watertown; daughter, Beverly (Bob) Blankenship of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Debbie (Rick) Martin, James F. Kidwell Jr., Beth (Wayne) Reeder and Scott Kidwell, all of Watertown, Steve (Robin) Blankenship of Calhoun, Tenn., and Jana (Ronnie) Summar, John (Angela) Blankenship and Kathy Black, all of Murfreesboro; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Anna Jean Turner

Memorial services for Mrs. Turner will be 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Anthony Funeral Home with Dondi Malone officiating. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Turner, 71, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at Quality Care Nursing Home.

Survivors include: sons, Greg (Sherry) Turner of Lebanon and Glen Turner Jr. of Knoxville; grandchildren, William, Gregory and Weslee Turner; great-grandchildren, William Jr., Kaylee and Lacie Turner; and sister, Evelyn (Bud) Kitts of Knoxville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ralph Gay Quimby

Memorial services for Mr. Quimby will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at McKendree Village Chapel with Dr. Carmen Lile-Henley officiating. Interment will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, S.C. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service Friday at the chapel.

Mr. Quimby, 92, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008. He graduated from Syracuse University and worked for many years for Moore Business Forms. He was a resident of McKendree Village since 1999.

He was preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Mary "Betty" Haines; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include: son, Al (Marty) Quimby of Brentwood; daughter, Phyllis Gouker of Ft. Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Laura (Chris) Moheng of Mt. Juliet, Debbie (Eric) Hixson of Greensboro, N.C., Kelly Ann Gouker of Wesley Chapel, Fla. and Chad Gouker of Ft. Myers; and great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Cam Moheng and Tyler and Bennett Hixson.

Nina Lurene Williams

Services for Mrs. Williams will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Stan Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and will be at noon until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams, 81, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008.

She was preceded in death by parents Hilton and Edith Weatherly Williams; and brothers, Robert S., Oscar and James M. Williams.

Survivors include: children, George (Pam) Williams of Lascassas, Phillip (Debra) Williams of Lebanon and Rejeanna (Gary) Buchanan of Germantown; sister, Dorothy Singleton of Lascassas; grandchildren, Aaron, Anna, Evan and Lisa Williams, Natalie Montgomery, Mark and Jason Buchanan and Jennifer Hamlin; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Jesse Montgomery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff at Odyssey Hospice.
