Services for Mr. McMillen will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Watertown First Baptist Church with Bro. Don Mathis and Bro. Mike Hale officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
Mr. McMillen, 73, of Alexandria, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at University Medical Center. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He worked with Thomas and Associates for 34 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 54 years, Betty Moss McMillen; children, Roberta (Ronnie) Jackson, Teresa (Dennis) Slager and Mike McMillen all of Alexandria; grandchildren, Beth (Eddie) Davis and Rhonda (Jake) Watts, both of Brush Creek, Holly Slager of Murfreesboro, Stephen Jackson and John Slager, both of Alexandria; great-grandchildren, Paige, Arielle and damian Davis, Koby and Kelcie Watts; brother, Victor Lee (Debbie) McMillen; sister-in-law, Sue mcMillen; aunts and uncles, Thomas (Bobbie) McMillen, Betty Frances Harbin and Viola Stoner along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Malone will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home with Bro. Frank â€œPee Weeâ€ Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Malone, 71, of South Carthage, died Sunday, Dec. 16, at Cedars Health Care in Lebanon. She was a member of the Carthage First Baptist Church. She attended Carthage High School and was a graduate of the McFarland Hospital Practical Nurse Program and worked as a Licenced Practical Nurse at Smith County Memorial Hospital for 31 years.
She was preceded in death b her husband, Jack Y. Malone and her parents, Crip and Alma Hesson Hindsley.
Survivors include: a son, Jack (Jackie) Malone of Lebanon; sisters, Ethel Beasley of Nashville and Gwen Livesay of Smyrna; sister-in-law, Ruth Walker and husband W.E. of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Kourtney and Kirk Malone of Defeated Creek, Ethan Malone of Gordonsville, Lacy and Peyton McCullough of Lebanon.
Catherine Evangeline Thorne
Services for Mrs. Thorne will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Michael Christian and teh Rev. W.L. Baker officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will 10 a.m. until services Monday.
Mrs. Thorne, 70, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James K. and Eddie Elvira Hughes Maynard and a brother, Bard Fisher Maynar.
Survivors include: her husband of 50 years, Billy E. Thorne; sons, Billy E. (Pam) Thorne Jr., Jimbo (Sandra) Thorne and Tommy (Kristie) Thorne; daughters, Patricia (Tom) Winford and Penny (Dave) Harrell; brothers, James Ray (Shirley) Maynard of Gladeville and Tommy (Peggy) Maynard of Gordonsville; a sister, Lynn (Danny) Ray of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Malorie McKay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thorneâ€™s sons and grandsons will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of the Dialysis Clinic, Dr. Michael McGee, Dr. William Pettus, Dr. Hardie Sorrels, Dr. William Wassynger, Dr. John Kayser, neighbors, devoted friends and her Sunday school class at Fairview Baptist Church.
