Kenneth Wayne Armstead
Services for Mr. Armstead will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Rev. Terry Bear and Rev. Buford Baines officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardes. Visitation will be Monday from 2 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Armstead, 70, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at Summit Medical Center. Mr. Armstead, a Baptist, was the owner of Textile Sales. He was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Bonnie Lorene Armstead; brothers Ralph and Harold Armstead.
He is survived by his wife, Mairene Armstead; son, Jerry (Diane) Armstead of Lebanon; grandson, Justin Armstead of Lebanon; sister, Mamye Newsome of Lebanon; sisters-in-law, Bobbie and Madeline Armstead of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mark Kevin Brewington
Services for Mr. Brewington will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon with Brother Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service.
Mr. Brewington, 49, of Lebanon passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at University Medical Center. He was preceded in death by parents, Wallace and Shirley Murray Brewington.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diane Roberts Brewington; two daughters, Tracy (Hayward) Garner and Robin Brewington, all of Lebanon; four grandchildren, David, Kimberly and Alexis Garner and Diana Pratt; one sister, Robbie (Barry) Woody of Lebanon; three brothers, Gary (Tena) Brewington of Carthage, Terry (Ava) Brewington of Elmwood, and Billy (Betty) Brewington of Lebanon; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Edna Barry Corley
Services for Mrs. Corley were held on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at the Alexandria Church of Christ with Charlie West officiating. Interment was in Hillview Memorial Cemetery in Alexandria, Tenn.
Mrs. Corley, 83, of Alexandria, Tenn., passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. She was born in Liberty, Tenn., located in Dekalb County. Her twin brother, Charles Edwin Barry, preceded her in death on October 10, 1998. She was married to Ned Upton Corley on May 11, 1941, and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2000. Mrs. Corley was a homemaker and a member of the Alexandria Church of Christ.
She is survived by three children, Carol C. Christian of Gallatin, Kenneth (Vicki) Corley of Alexandria, Cathy C. (Danny) Marler of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Angie (John) Bruce of Lebanon, Rickey (Samantha) Baines of Alexandria, Nick Corley of Alexandria and Erica (Dusty) Bradley of Lebanon; five great-grandchildren, Justin Bruce, Kyle Bruce and Morgan Bruce, all of Lebanon, Zachary Baines of Alexandria, and Chloe Belle Bradley of Lebanon.
Arrangements were handled by Avant Funeral Home in Alexandria, Tenn.
Mr. Hass, 57, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at University Medical Center.
Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet is in charge of the arrangements, which are incomplete at this time.
Abraham Lincoln McCarver
Services for Mr. McCarver will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Market Street Church of Christ with Brother Ronald McCarver officiating. Interment will be at the Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Mr. McCarver, 79, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Cedars Health Care. He was a Korean War Veteran and a 1953 graduate of The Wilson County High School. Mr. McCarver was a retiree of both DuPont and Lowes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Golden McCarver; one son, Nathaniel McCarver; three brothers, Willie, Felix and Ray McCarver.
He is survived by three daughters, Annie Yancey, Yvonne (Herbert) Jones and Deborah Bowman; three sons, David, Abraham and Willie (Sabrina) McCarver; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two very special friends, Emma Lewis and Bob Trisdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Disyal Funeral Home in Lebanon is handling the arrangements.
Leette Vaught Payer
Services for Mrs. Payer will be 12 noon Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon with Rev. Charles McKnight officiating. Interment will be at Jennings Cemetery at Statesville. Visitation will be Monday, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and then from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Payer, who was born in Dekalb County, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Payer, a Baptist, worked at Textron/AVCO. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Payer was preceded in death by her first husband, Grady Vaught; grandparents, Clay and Mattie Clayborne; stepfather, William Lillard; sister, Brenda Driver Pulley.
She is survived by her husband, Richard â€œRickâ€ Payer; two sons, Eddie (Jane) Vaught and Jerry Vaught; brother, Billy (Arnette) Driver; three grandsons, Jeff (Sherry) Vaught, Chris Vaught and Greg Vaught; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Kayleigh and Anna Grace Vaught, all of Lebanon.

Ms. Rhoton, 80, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at University Medical Center. She was born in Watertown, and was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robin and Paul Grooms Hicks Hayes Sr.
She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Rhoton of Lebanon.
