John Davis Beaty

Services for Mr. Beaty will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Dr. Craig Goff officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Beaty, 49, of Mt. Juliet died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008. He was a member of Cooks United Methodist Church and a 1978 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School.

Survivors include: parents, Earl and Shirley Davis Beaty; brother, Joe (Shelly) Beaty; and niece and nephew Sarah and Jackson Beaty.

Pallbearers will be Bill Daniel, Greg Brown, Steve Nixon, John Thompson, Tony Young, Keith Carson, Johnny Adams and Mark LaRocca.

The family asks that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or Cumberland Heights.

Bond Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Arthur Holmberg

Services for Mr. Holmberg will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 at All Faiths Cemetery in Worchester, Mass. with Dennis Roberts officiating.

Mr. Holmberg, 92, of Hermitage, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008. He attended New Hope Baptist Church, was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and the VFW, where he served as past Post Commander. He was a member of the Mt. Juliet Senior Citizens Center and the Swedish VASA Order. He was preceded in death by parents, Swan and Anna Matteson Holmberg; wife, Helen Holmberg; and brother, Harry Holmberg.

Survivors include: daughter, Jane (Robert Dennis) Roberts; sister, Edith (Pastor Paul) West; grandchildren, Christi Roberts Bowman and Brent Roberts; and great-grandchildren Ella, Jaron, Anna, Claire, Tristen, Cate, Joshua, Lane and Carson.

Local arrangements are by Bond Memorial Chapel.

June Keckler

Services for Mrs. Keckler will be noon Wednesday, Dec. 31 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Stan Butt officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Keckler, 82, of Old Hickory, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008. She retired from Bill Crook's Food Town in Mt. Juliet with 17 years of service.

She was preceded in death by husband, Cliff Keckler; two brothers; a sister; and a grandson.

Survivors include: sons, Johnny, Darryl and Kyle Keckler; daughters, Sheila Butt and Nancy Mitchell; brother, Jimmy McGruder; sisters, Mary Berry and Helen Tindall; 37 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AMVETS National Headquarters, 4647 Forbes Blvd., Lanham, Md., 20706.

Harold Robert "Bobby" Lyle

Mr. Lyle, 52, of Lebanon died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008. He was a parts manager at Rocky Williams Premier and a member of The Journey Church. He was preceded in death by father, James W. "J.W." Lyle; brothers, Kenny and Ricky Dale Lyle; and grandparents Wilburn and Leona Haynes and Emmitt and Mae Lyle.

Survivors include: wife, Pat Lyle; mother, Norma Jean Lyle of Texas; sons, Clinton Lyle of Nashville and Clayton Lyle of Lebanon; brother, Steve Lyle of Texas; sisters Mary Jane (Jimmy) Baker of Kentucky, Patricia Pace of Texas, Peggy Frasier of Texas, Wanda Gonzales of Texas and Joanie Vacker of Texas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilson County Animal Shelter.

Eric Stewart

A Celebration of life service for Mr. Stewart will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Carl Price officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until service time Tuesday.

Mr. Stewart, 18, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at his residence. He was a college student at Middle Tennessee State University and an avid sports fan.

Survivors include: father, Christopher (Patti) Stewart; mother, Pattie Lehman; brothers, Brian, Acil, Brandon and Matthew Stewart and sisters, Rebecca and Rachael Stewart.

Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Landon Scott Vardell

Services for Mr. Vardell will be 2 p.m., Wednesday Dec. 31, at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Spring Hill.

Mr. Vardell, 44, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008.

Survivors included: parents, Dolores and John T. Vardell; a sister, two brothers and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
