Nora Ann Harris Neal
Services for Mrs. Neal will be noon Saturday, April 18 at Heaven's View Baptist Church with the Rev. Belita McMurray-Fite officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday at Disyal Funeral Home and 11 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Neal, 66, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Lebanon Health and Rehab Center. She retired after 39 years of service from Parker Seals.
She was preceded in death by, daughter, Shirley Ann Bates; sisters, Theola Bass and Hattie Sue Johnson; and brother, Melvin Talley Harris.
Survivors include: son, Devon (Veronica) Neuble of Lebanon; step-son, Kenneth (Pam) Burns of Lebanon; step-daughter, Brenda Burns of Lebanon; god daughter, Crystal Moore of Lebanon; grandchildren, LaQuischika, Diamond and Zyrina Neuble, all of Lebanon; god-granddaughter, Christaney Moore of Lebanon; step-grandchildren, Marcus Reynolds, Teona Neal, Jeremiah Rowland, Sherlana Burns and Erica Turner, all of Lebanon; companion of many years, Andrew Burns of Lebanon; brothers, Harry (Mary) Harris Jr. of Lebanon and Will Houston (LouElla) Harris of Springfield Mass.; sister, Franceola (Roger) Kirkendoll; aunt, Louise Seay of Hartsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joseph Ruiz
Services for Mr. Ruiz will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Dr. Thomas McFarland officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ruiz, 80, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009. He was a retired underwriter for Prudential Insurance and a member of Faith Lutheran. 
He was preceded in death by parents, Eugenio and Ramona Ruiz and a brother.  Survivors include: wife of 56 years, Anna Ruiz; daughter, Katherine Ann (Dr. Allen) McFarland; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Bessie Louise Thornton
Services for Ms. Thornton were Thursday, April 16 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment was in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Thornton, 89, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009. She served in the US Army in WWII. She was a nurse for 32 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton O. Thornton; parents, William Carroll and Martha Byers Brown; grandson, Jeffery Allen Thornton; and granddaughter, Jennifer Gail Thornton.
Survivors include: son, Clint Thornton; sister, Lillian B. Conditt; grandchildren, Clinton Lee and Robert Gene Thornton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were David Page, Larry Warren, David Hawkins, Jared Patterson, Jonathan Thompson, and Ed Ashley.
