William Edward Kolbe
Services for Mr. Kolbe were Friday, April 23 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Kolbe, 79, of Madison, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010. He was a member of Madison First Baptist Church, a retired school teacher from Gallatin and a graduate of Tennessee Tech and Golden Gate Seminary.
He was preceded in death by parents, Clinton and Eva Kolbe and brother, Charles Kolbe.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Ruth Kolbe; brothers, John (Ann), Robert (Charlotte) and Gerald V. Kolbe; sisters, Emma Allison and Dorothy K. (J.W.) Thompson; sister-in-law, Hattie Ralston; and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were Senior Co-Ed Sunday School Class.
Marjorie Lorene 'Bobo' McLean
Services for Mrs. McLean will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Green officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and noon until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McLean, 85, of Lebanon, died Sunday, April 25, 2010.
Survivors include: husband of 40 years, Joseph Edward McLean; daughter, Pat Moss (Hawkins); son, Wendell Holland; grandchildren, Kim (Rob) PAtterson, Ken (Colleen) Brooks, Kris (Tracy) Brooks, Catherine (Jimmy) Bullock and Danielle and Heather Holland; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Otto.
Pallbearers will be Hardie Brooks, Rob Patterson, Gary Fry, Jack Lassiter, Charles Moss and Dwayne Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Harbor Oaks Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Fla.
Gloria Ann Owen Mitchell
Services for Mrs. Mitchell will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Edward Pugh and Jim Duke officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday.
Mrs. Mitchell, 76, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the University Medical Center. She was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church and was retired from Robertshaw, where she was a longtime employee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Margaret Owen; and husband, Ray Mitchell.
Survivors include: daughter, Glenda (Jim) Duke of Raleigh, N.C.; son, Randy (Teresa) Mitchell of Lebanon; brother, Harold (LaVerne) Owen of Lake Placid, Fla.; sister, Lois (Edward) Overstreet of Lebanon; grandchildren, Erin (Bryan) Kemp, Julie Duke and Gina Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Royce Jackson, Don Owen, Bryan Kemp, Johnny Mitchell, William Duke and Charles Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Fyke, A. B. Hedgespeth, Edward Overstreet, H. L. Winfree, Ronald Walls and the staff at Lebanon Health and Rehab.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.

David B. Penuel
Services for Mr. Penuel are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 28 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday after 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Penuel, 70, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at University Medical Center in Lebanon. Born July 11, 1939, in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Byron Stroud Penuel and Lois Thompson Penuel. He was a 1957 graduate of Watertown High School and attended Cumberland University. He attended the Statesville United Methodist Church.
He served in the United States Army from 1964-1966. He worked 50 years in banking, having worked at Commerce Union and Sovran Bank for 35 years and the remainder of his career at Bank of The South, now Pinnacle. He had been a member of the Lebanon Noon Rotary Club since 1966, was a member of the American Legion, and coached youth baseball for 20 years with five championship teams. He was very active in the Adult Literacy Council, was Chairman of the Lebanon Housing Authority, served on the board of Cedar Croft, and served as a member of the Board of Directors of Bank of the South.
Survivors include: wife of 47 years, Charlene Patton Penuel; two sons, David Wayne (Susan) Penuel and Michael (JoAnn) Penuel; and grandchildren, David Reagan Penuel, William Barrett Penuel, Austin Lee Penuel, Hannah Lynn Penuel, and John Byron Penuel, all of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hardy, Tommy Bryan, Neal Shipper, Floyd Gaddes, Chris Hamilton, and Jim Agee. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the Lebanon Noon Rotary Club and Associates and Friends in Banking.
Dorothy Lea Thompson Rutland
Services for Mrs. Rutland will be noon Thursday, April 29 at Hellum Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Brooks officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rutland, 68, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at Mt. Juliet Health Care Center.
Survivors include: husband, Priest Rutland Jr.; children, William Howard (Patricia) Rutland, Dorothy Ann Phillips, Glenda Sue (Ike) Smith, Brenda Joyce Seay, Yolanda Faye Rutland, Darrell Wayne (Kim) Rutland and Veroncia Lyn (Michael) Carter; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; grandson, Lamont Rutland; brothers and sisters, Shirley (John Howard) Harris, Mary Bowman, Howard (Debbie) Thompson Jr., Fred (Vanessa) Thompson, Linda Allen and Roberta (Charles) Beasley; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and friends, Mary Ann and Michelle Searcy and Janice Anter.
