Charles D. “C.D.” Bundy
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8 from 4-6 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Bundy, 78, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospice. He was self-employed and a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Mattie Bundy; brother, Raymond Bundy; and sister, Bobbie Howard.
Survivors include: wife, Tuby Bundy; sons, William Burke Bundy and Charles R. (Susan) Bundy; daughter, Betty (Sam) Balentine of Virginia and special child, Shane William Bundy; grandchildren, Krissa (Ryan) Stephens, Shana Bundy, Jesse Bundy, Lauren and Graham Balentine; great-grandchild, and Adelyn Kate Stephens.
Velvia Webster Cantrell
Services for Mrs. Cantrell will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Royalty officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be on Wednesday, April 8, at 1 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
Mrs. Cantrell, 82, died Saturday, April 4, 2009. She was a homemaker as well as an avid flower and vegetable gardener.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas B. and Bonnie Lee Grandstaff Webster; husband, Alfred Cantrell.
Survivors include: sons, Alfred N. (Zelma) Cantrell, Jr. of Joelton and David (Kari) Cantrell of Knoxville; daughter, Sylvia (Evan) Carter of Madison; brother, Jimmy Webster of Clinton Township, Mich.; sisters, Ruby Agnew of Hendersonville and Earlene Baker of Madison Heights, Mich.; grandchildren, Kenneth Carter, Keith Carter, Justin Cantrell, Melissa Merritt, Kayci Cantrell and Reid Cantrell; great-grandchildren, Anna Merritt, Brooke Carter, Ella Merritt and Aiden Carter.
Glen R. Geesaman
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 in Cedar Grove Cemetery with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time at Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Geesaman, 68, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at University Medical Center. He was a buyer for GF Manufacturing, a Baptist, and a Navy Veteran. He was born in Redkey, Ind. and was raised in North Liberty, Ind.
He was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Edna Guyse and infant brother, Johnny Geesaman.
Survivors include: wife, Edith Geesaman; son, David (Joan) Geesaman; daughters, Laurie (Kevin) Klingerman and Janet (Rob) Meyer; brother, Vic (Virginia) Geesaman; sister, Helen (Larry) Merkel; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Strader will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Strader, 70, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009.
She was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Stella Eddins; brothers, Milton, David and Charles Eddins; and sisters, Ruby Laney and Lula Mai Crowder.
Survivors include: husband of 40 years, Don B. Strader; children, Donna, Michael, Matthew and Marc Strader and Me’chel Whitaker; brothers, Thomas, Perry, James and Eugene Eddins; sisters, Elizabeth Wix and Dorothy Huffines; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher and Lee Strader, Eddie Crowder, Steve Carr, Billy Laney, Keith Eddins, Truman Whitaker, and Boo Hoyt.
Blanche Bradshaw Vantrease
Services for Mrs. Vantrease will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 7 at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Price officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Ligon and Bobo.
Mrs. Vantrease, 85, died on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at her home. She was a retired school teacher and member of the Laguardo Baptist Church. She was very active in the Retired Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Henry Vantrease; and brother, Elliot Vaughn (Oler Belle) Bradshaw.
Survivors include: son, Charles Vaughn Vantrease; daughter-in-law, Liz Vantrease of Lebanon; grandchildren, Kelley (Scot) Crook, Brad (Jessica) Vantrease and Landon Vantrease; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Ava Crook; nephews, James (Teresa) Bradshaw and Mike (Jamie) Bradshaw; special life time friends, Sarah Jennings, Dorothy Jennings, Mary Lena Price, May Stewart and Christina McDaniel.
Brad Vantrease, Landon Vantrease, Scot Crook, James Bradshaw, Mike Bradshaw, Jason Bradshaw, Christopher Bradshaw, David Wilholt, Shane Williams and Tim Davidson will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Guess, Joseph Williams, Hayden Crook, Peyton Williams, Jacob Davidson and Calob Davidson.
