Susie M. Floyd
Services for Mrs. Floyd will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 3411 Albion Street, Nashville. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 27, from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from noon until service time at the church.
Mrs. Floyd, 85, of Nashville, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at Baptist Hospital. She was an extraordinary mother who devoted her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Floyd Sr.; son, Marcus Floyd Jr.; daughter, Gwendolyn Floyd Allen; grandson, Brian Elliott Nightingale and mother, Martha Lewis Hawkins.
Survivors include: daughters, Barbara Floyd Nightingale and Cynthia Floyd (Leslie) Stewart; son-in-law, Steve Allen; grandchildren, Stephanie Allen, Jesse Phillip (Tiffany) Nightingale, Kelly Stewart (Chip) Davis, Ashley Allen and Danielle Stewart; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Davis, Kiri Allen, Natalia Smith and (soon to be born) Sophia Nightingale; family friend Stevie Saddler and a host of other relatives and friends.

James Richard "Jim" Harris Jr.
Mr. Harris chose to be cremated. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 28 at Bond Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Harris, 71, of Mt. Juliet, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010. He was the son of the late James Sr. and Anna Louise Templeton Harris.
Survivors include: wife, Barbara Ann Harris; sons, Richard, David Timothy (Joyce) and David Anthony (Christina) Harris; daughters, Deborah Sullavin and Nichole Harris Dixon; grandchildren, Zach Sullavin, Ashley and Lorrey Harris and Rebecca and Catie Mueller; brothers, Bill and Jerry Wayne Harris; sisters, Dot Cole and Kat Wade; sister-in-law, Roberta (John) Kidd; aunt, Corine; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer and John Kidd and Alicia Capshaw.

Mary Lynne Osborne
A memorial service for Mrs. Osborne will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Anthony Funeral Home, 337 McMurray Blvd., Hartsville.
Mrs. Osborne, 59, of Hartsville, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at University Medical Center. She was director of Nutritional Services and Diabetes Center coordinator at Riverview Medical Center in Carthage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Col. (Ret.) Lloyd Allen Osborne and Norma Nell Burge Osborne.
Survivors include: husband of 27 years, Harvey Freeman; daughter, Megan Lynne Freeman of Lafayette; son, Petty Officer 3rd class Scott Freeman of Everette, Wash.; grandson, Kaydyn Alexander Freeman of Cottontown; sisters, Karen Taylor of Birmingham, Ala., and Teri Osborne of Newark, Del.; brother, Lloyd Allen Osborne III of Spring, Texas; many nieces and nephews and extended family.

William C. "Bill" Phillips
Services for Mr. Phillips will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Phillips, 72, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and had recorded over 200 songs. He was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Charlotte Phillips; and son, Chip Phillips.
Survivors include: wife, Ann Phillips; sons, Rayme (Wendy) Phillips and Mickey Denney; daughter, Paulette (Don) Burnell; and six grandchildren.
