Gail Chaffin Gravens
Services for Mrs. Gravens will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 at College Hills Church of Christ with Drs. Larry Locke and Kevin Owen officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and noon until the service Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Gravens, 56, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Bobbie Huddleston Chaffin. She graduated from Lebanon High School and attended David Lipscomb. She was a homemaker and a member of College Hills Church of Christ and the Wilson County Fair Board.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Chaffin.
Survivors include: husband of 37 years, Joe Gravens; children, Candy (Jeff) Lackey, Michael (Lori) and Dusty (Megan) Gravens; grandchildren, Jena and Jessica Lackey, and Haleigh, Olivia and Madden Gravens; sisters, Jo Doris Sanders and Marilyn Gurgiola; and sister-in-law, Jenny Chaffin, all of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Weitzel, Bob and Rob Pack, Troy Gravens, Tommy Chaffin and Bobby Jordan.
Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sarah Ann Lyon
Memorial services for Ms. Lyon will be 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Cooks United Methodist Church. Interment will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, in Dr. O.A. Kirk Memorial Cemetery in Linden, Tenn. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 13, from 4-8 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel and Monday, Dec. 14, from 2 p.m. until service time at the church.
Ms. Lyon, 60, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at University Medical Center. She was the administrative assistant at the Labry School of Business at Cumberland University and administrative assistant at the Vera Institute of Criminal Justice in New York City. Ms. Lyon was a member of Cooks United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. and Sarah W. Westbrook Lyon.
Survivors include: brother, John G. Lyon III of Nashville; sisters, Janet (J.L.) Driver of Lebanon, Jean E. (Bill) Markie of Lebanon and Patty (Wes) Graff of Michigan and special nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Wilson Co. Habitat for Humanity or Cook's United Methodist Church, 7919 Lebanon Road, Mt. Juliet, Tenn. 37122.

Randy Hugh Mahaffa
Services for Mr. Mahaffa will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Hunter Funeral Home. Interment will be Pleasant Ridge. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 11, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Mahaffa, 54, of Woodbury, Tenn., died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at his residence. He worked in the contract carpet co. flooring installation.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Randy Mahaffa; parents, Herbert Mahaffa and Margaret Bogle Harvey and brothers, James and Billy Mahaffa.
Survivors include: children, Peggy (Bobby) Hamlet of Watertown, Randell (Stacey) Mahaffa of Carthage and Jeremy (Ashley) Mahaffa of Carthage; grandchildren, Cody, Shelby and Wesley Hamlet, Jonathan Mason, Alexis and Ashley Mahaffa and Colton and Myah Hamlet and sisters, Joanne (Gerald) Gunter of Fleetwood, N.C. and Helen Dedman of Murfreesboro.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James Edward "Slim" Murphy
Services for Mr. Murphy will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 11, from 4-8 p.m.
Mr. Murphy, 61, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at his residence. He was a painter and construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Ivory Murphy and infant sister, Shirley Ann Murphy.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Murphy; daughters, Renee Murphy Scott, Jimmie Lou Murphy Butler, Tina Brown, Jamie Michelle Murphy and Bettie Murphy Zelke; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Dale Reynolds; brother, Michael "Sam" (Pinky) Murphy and sister, Debra Lee Brown.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
