Mrs. Ledbetter, 59, of Wilson County, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at her home in Dayton, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Keen Whited and Gladys Mae Whited of Lebanon; brothers, Bobby King Whited and Joseph Edward Whited; sister, Mary Irene Whited, all of Lebanon.
Survivors include: husband, Leroy Ledbetter; son, Paul Eric (Vickie) Culver; step-granndaughter, Lisa Walker; step-grandson, Cody Holland, all of Dayton; brothers, Paul (Charlene) Whited of Elmwood, Tenn., Jimmy (Margie) Whited, Gene Whited, Tommy (Audrey) Whited, H. D. Whited, all of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews.

Services, with Military Honors, for Mr. Sloan will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 15, from 2-7 p.m.
Mr. Sloan, 90, of Nashville, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. He served in World War II, in the Pacific theater in logistics. He was captured in April of 1942, survived the Bataan Death march and was held as a P.O.W. for forty-four months in Japanese prison camps. While imprisoned in Japan he was an eye witness survivor of the atomic bomb that was dropped in Nagasaki. He retired from the American Feightliners-Teamsters 480.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William, Sr. and Georgia Overton Sloan; first wife, Margaret Wrenn Sloan; brothers, Howard and Russell Sloan; grandson, Darrell Sloan.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Catherine Sloan; sons, Ronnie (Ann) Sloan of Lebanon, Tom (Lynn) Sloan of Fla., Timmy Sloan, John and Michael Swift of Antioch; sisters, Marge (Norm) Rhodes of Fla. and Rita (John) Carswell of Nashville; grandchildren, April Armstrong, Wrenn and Lee Sloan, Amanda and Sean Swift; four step-grandchildren, Kevin (Debbie) Thomas, Keith Thomas, Kirk (Amy) Thomas and Kim Thomas; great-grandchildren, Ryan Armstrong, Braden Harrison and Harley Sloan; several step-great-grandchildren.
