Benton Callis Jr.
Memorial services for Mr. Callis will 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Atnip officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 23, from noon until service time.
Mr. Callis, 82, of Norene, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, George Ann Callis; daughter, Katherine Coles; parents, Benton M. and Effie Nichols Callis; sister, Margaret Cole and brother, Donald Callis.
Survivors include: son, Steve Callis of Norene; grandchildren, Kristy (Donald) Olsen of Lebanon, Tara (Brian) Grisham of Carthage, Brandilyn Callis of Murfreesboro, J.B. Coles of Gladeville and Travis Coles of Gladeville; great-grandchildren, Bailey Gisham, Justin Robinson and Daylon Benton Olsen and sisters, Ethel Mack of Missouri and Annie Roberts of Cottowntown.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hugh Vergie Dodson
Services for Mr. Dodson will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Church of God Worship and Ministry Center, 1007 Hartsville Pike, Lebanon, with Bro. Gordon Lee and Bro. David Spence officiating. Interment will be in Plain View Cemetery, Cassville Community, Sparta. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 4-8 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home and Thursday, Jan. 21, from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Dodson, 70, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlis and Mary Van Winkle Dodson, brother, Phillip Dodson and brother-in-law, Carman Cook.
Survivors include: wife of 52 years, Barbara Dodson; children, Mark (Candace) Dodson and Greg (Mary) Dodson; siblings, Sylvia Cook, Judy (Morgan) Anderson, Kathy (Lawrence) Glenn and Mickey Dodson; grandchildren, Kade Dodson, Morgan Dodson, Kendall Dodson, Conner Dodson and Brady Dodson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kade Dodson, Shannon Dodson, Kendall Dodson, Conner Dodson, Mike Prince, Alex Araujo, Scott Anderson, Kerry Crockett and Billy Craddock. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Patton, James Hinsley, Rip Van Winkle, Sammy Roller, Comer Russell, Billy Thomas, Marco Phillips, Wayne Barnes, Jimmy Martin and Charles Robinson.
Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
