James B. Caruthers
Services for Mr. Caruthers will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 17 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Lyles officiating. Interment will be in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Caruthers, 67, of Gainesboro, Tenn., died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at his residence. He was retired from Vought Aircraft of Nashville and was a farmer. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Anna Mai Caruthers; brother, Jackie Lee Caruthers; sister, Willa Dean Hammock; and grandson, David Nathaniel Fraizer Jr.
Survivors include: wife, Gail Caruthers of Gainesboro; step-son, Mitch Tarpley of Statesville; step-daughters, Wendy (Scott) Odum and Dusty (David) Fraizer, both of Lebanon; grandchildren, Keyna and Jon Davis, Austin Edwards, Whitley Tarpley and Izabel Fraizer; great-grandson, Hayden Davis; brothers, Draper (Norma Jean) Caruthers of California and Bobby (Pam) Caruthers of Cookeville; and sisters, Grace Sloan, Minnie Lou (Buddy) Goolsby and Stella (Alfred) and Mary Sue (Arvil) Flatt, all of Gainesboro.
Donald Raymond Hall
Services for Mr. Hall will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Bumbalough officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 19, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall, 45, of Nashville, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009.
He was preceded in death by brothers Randal W. Hall and Steven W. Hall.
Survivors include: parents, Gordon and Martha Hall; son, Christopher Matthew Hall; daughter, Sarah Ashley Hall, sister Janet (Bruce) Orndorff and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Hall, Edward Qualls, Jonathan Qualls,Thomas Slowey, Eddie Slowey and Jesse Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Mims, Buford Putman, Bruce Orndorff and Tony Putman.
Arrangements for Mr. Murphy are incomplete at this time.
Mr. Murphy, 20, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Paris, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred "Smitty" Murphy.
Survivors include: his mother, Mona Johnson Murphy, of Lebanon.

Bessie Lee Owen
Services for Mrs. Owen will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Eltis Brown and the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Interment will be in Jones Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday, from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Owen, 84, of Watertown, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Smithfork Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Richard Owen; granddaughter, Anita Christine Owen; parents, George O. and Clemmie Bly Dodd and brother, Joe Dodd.
Survivors include: children, Virginia Marie (Wesley) Hamlet of Lebanon, Jimmy Edmond (Dianne) Owen of Watertown, Billy Wayne Owen of Watertown and Judy Ellen (Larry) Parker of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Steve Hamlet, Angie Barnes, Kim (Chris) Craighead, Ellen Warden, Kristy (Michael) Holbrook, Jim (Kimberly) Owen, Dustin Parker and Shane (Janet) Parker; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Ariel Warden, Kyle, Dylan and Rachel Craighead, Austin Owen and Ethan Owen; great-great-grandchildren, Michael and Jayden Britton; brothers, Kenneth (Pauline) Dodd of Smithville, Junior (Frances) Dodd of Alexandria and Robert (Julia) Dodd of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Clara Dodd of Watertown and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marlene Davis Riggs
Services for Mrs. Riggs will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Dr. Ross Maroney officiating. Interment will be in Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riggs, 55, of Lavergne, died Monday, July 13, 2009. She was born in Franklin, Tenn. and was a member of the Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Davis and her husband, Ron Riggs.
Survivors include: son, Tyler Riggs of LaVergne; daughter, Kendall Riggs of LaVergne; brothers, Donnie Davis of Raleigh, N.C. and Steve Davis of Nashville, Ga.; sisters, Judy Thomas Davis of Watertown and Sherrie (Bitsy) Arthur of Lebanon; mother, Martha Pewitt McMillen of Lebanon; and special friend, Paul Johnson of Lavergne.
Betty Lou Tomlinson

Mrs. Tomlinson, 83, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009.
She was preceded in death by husband, Zirl Tomlinson; brothers, Clifford and Tilford Thompson; and parents, Herbert and Carrie Thompson.
Survivors include: children, William “Bill” (Shirlene) and Richard Tomlinson and Sue (Wayne) Carmack; grandchildren, Candie (Michael) Randolph, Jennifer Taylor, Joey Carmack, Chasity Merdith, Bill (Gail) Tomlinson Jr. and Crystal Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Malia Randolph, Maranda and Alex Taylor, Megan Keith, Brandon, Lexie and Dillion Tomlinson, Amber Merdith, Nathan and Leah Reeves, Melanie Hackney, Bailey (Jonathan) Gilliland, and Charlie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Trayer, 62, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009.
He is preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Blanche Davis Trayer.
Survivors include: children, Elaine (Stephen) Barry, Tammy (Michael) Del Piano, and Tina Olson (and family); grandchildren, Michael, Nicole and Ryan Del Piano; and best friend: Dennis McWaherter.
