Graveside services for Mr. Carter will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Dixon Springs Community with Carl Carter III officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Sanderson Funeral Home of Carthage.
Mr. Carter, 60, of Castallian Springs, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, while working in Georgia. He was a 1967 graduate of Trousdale County High School and was a Baptist by faith. Mr. Carter was an over-the-road truck driver for 32 years and was a driver for Batesville Casket Company for the last 8 years.
Survivors include: sons, Chris Shattuck of Gallatin, Michael Carter of Lebanon and Carl (Jennifer) Carter III of Mount Washington, Ky.; sisters, Carolyn Beasley of Castallian Springs and Gladys Doris of Portland; brothers, Michael Jessie of Murfreesboro and Albert Jessie of Martinsville, Ind., and 10 grandchildren.
Perry W. Joyner
Services for Mr. Joyner will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, 8712 Quincy Ave., Cleveland, Ohio. Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, July 9, from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. at Thomas G. Smith Funeral Home, 14801 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio, and will be Friday, July 10, from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Joyner, 67, died Thursday, July 2, 2009.
Survivors include: children, Barbara Cartwright and Marc Joyner; sisters, Henrietta Blair, Maggie Williams, Jackie Joyner, Dorothy Chatton and brother, Ronnie Joyner.

Thelma "Memaw" Hoskins
Mrs. Hoskins, 87, of Williamsburg, Va., died Sunday, July 5, 2009.
She was preceded in death by husband, Louie Frank Hoskins; daughter, Barbara Crutcher; and son, Butchie Hoskins.
Survivors include: grandchildren, Troy (Nancy) of Williamsburg, Todd (Paige) of Greensboro, N.C., Melody of Murfreesboro and Kerri and Leslie of Lebanon; and numerous great-grandchildren.

James Edward Kirkendoll

Mr. Kirkendoll, 67, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at University Medical Center. He was raised in the Bellwood Community and attended school in the Wilson County System. Mr. Kirkendoll worked as a city bus driver in Miami, Fla., and returned to Lebanon after retirement.
Survivors include: brothers, Will (Franceola) Roger, Charles Mayo, Walter (Lois) Lee and Joe Conn Kirkendoll; and sister, Frances Kirkendoll.

Charles Edward McClanahan
Services for Mr. McClanahan will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 10 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Pastor James Byrd officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. McClanahan, 72, of Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009. He was a deer and turkey hunter and a fisherman.
Survivors include: son, Randy (Teresa) McClanahan; grandsons, Matthew and Luke McClanahan; and great-grandchildren, Jazyman and Lilly McClanahan.
Services for Mrs. Owens will be 5 p.m. Friday, July 10 at Garden of Prayer Tabernacle with Dr. Bobby Sanders officiating and Pastor Gary Owens eulogizing. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at Disyal Funeral Home and 4 p.m. until the service Friday at the church.
Mrs. Owens, 77, of Lebanon, died Sunday, July 5, 2009. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Quality Care after 20 years as a Physical Therapist.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Ray "Teddy" Owens; son, Jesse Monroe Owens; parents, Paul and Ella "Ma" Shannon; and siblings, Pauline (Jeb) Cartwright, Gladys Shannon, James (Pearline) Shannon and Louise and Ernestine Shannon.
Survivors include: sons, Stevie (Tameka), Barry (Anastasia), Gary (Sharon), Bruce Adam (Ann), Timothy Gerald and Mark Dewayne (Tammy) Owens; sister-in-law, Freddie Mae Owens; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special friends, Shirley Griffith, Mary Gilliam and Ann Davis.
James Darryl "Bubba" Shannon
Services for Mr. Shannon will be noon Saturday, July 11 at Hellum Funeral Home with Bishop A.J. Valentine officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Shannon, 53, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at University Medical Center.
