Thomas Olan Coleman Sr.
Services for Mr. Coleman will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 15 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Fallin officiating. Entombment will be in Hermitage Gardens. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Coleman, 92, of Mt. Juliet, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010. He was a member of First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet and the Mt. Juliet Senior Citizens Center. He was retired from Beatrice Foods.
He was preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Mary Louise Coleman and granddaughter, Lisa Slocum.
Survivors include: daughter, Elizabeth "Lib" (Elton) Yoshida of Honomu, Hawaii; son, Thomas "Tom" (Freda) Coleman Jr. of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Dina Demichelis, Chara (William "Bud") Branam, Jada (Johnny) Trail and Bree Coleman; great-grandchildren, Sloan, Peyton and Rylee Branam and Matthew, Nathan and Noah Trail; and sister-in-law, Juanita Johnson of Eatonton, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Ballou, Don Reneau, Doyle Bennett, Dwight Spurlock, Lester Hall, Bud and Sloan Branam and Johnny Trail. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Greenwood, Dick Frye, Joe Carter, Corbitt Anderson, Marshall Foster and the retirees of Beatrice Foods.

Services for Mrs. Jennings will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Sellars, Bro. Gary Miller and Bro. Carl Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jennings, 88, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Claude “Slim” Jennings and Ova Jay Bain; parents, Calvin and Alice Spurlock Baine; son, Roy Dale Bain; daughters, Wilma Batey and Linda Parrish; siblings, Edward “Poodle” Baine, Clara May Dutton and Dorothy Vickers.
Survivors include: son, Larry (Cassie) Bain; sister-in-law, Ruth Baine; grandchildren, Lynn Bain, Angilia Bain Matthews, Amanda Hicks, Melaine “Splenda” Young, Jan Presley, Carol McDaniel, Sissy Cozart, Lisa Sadler, Allen Hicks, Joe, Dean and Billy Batey and Jeremy Bain; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Allen Hicks, Bryson Phillips, Steven Young, Chris Craighead, Dewayne Sadler and Sladen Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Davis and Joe Batey.

Mrs. Lannom, 75 of Ashland City, Tenn., died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. She was a member of Ashland City United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline Clemmons Gray; husband, Billy Owen Lannom; and grandchild, Sara Jean Lannon.
She is survived by son, William Lance (Amy) Lannom; daughter, Paula (John) Melton; grandchildren, John Melton Jr., Samuel Owen Melton and Luke McKinney Melton; granddaughter-in-law, Joanna Kemp Melton; and great-grandchild, Mary Ella Melton.
Pallbearers will be John Melton Jr., Sam Melton, Luke Melton, Ronnie Clemmons, Joel Norred and Donnie Kemp. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present retired employees of State Industries.

Herschel Cloyd Ligon
Services for Mr. Ligon will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14 at Hermitage Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Reese officiating. Interment will be in Ligon-Cloyd Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ligon, 92, of Old Hickory, died Thursday, March 11, 2010. He was a lifelong farmer and fifth generation to farm the oldest bicentennial farm in Wilson County, which was established in 1789. He was the owner of the oldest Poland China purebred hog herd in the United States. He was a World War II veteran, entering the war on Utah Beach as a Company Commander, and helped build the main line of communications between Cherboug and Frankfurt.
He was a Charter Member of Donelson American Legion Post 88. In 1970, he furnished his team of mules to be used in the groundbreaking ceremony to build Opryland. In 1985 he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Poland China Association and was named Mid South Fair Farmer of the Year. He was named Wilson County Fair Old Timer in 1996. The Tennessee State Fair honored him with its first Distinguished Service Award in 2000 for exhibiting Poland China hogs for 51 years. In 2008, he was inducted into the Wilson County Agricultural Hall of Fame.
He was preceded in death by parents, James Duncan and Gladys Ware Ligon; first wife, Wydell Lott Ligon; wife of 57 years, Lillie Eller Ligon; daughter, Herschel Elaine Anding; and grandchildren, Jason Ligon and Julie Thomas.
Survivors include: sons, Bill (Cheryl) Ligon of Old Hickory and Jim (Gail) Ligon of Cookeville; daughter, Suzy Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Lanova McCluskey of Old Hickory.
Pallbearers will be Josh, Jack and Andy Ligon, Lance Davis, Mike Foust, Grant and Darin Jackson and Lynn McCulloch.
