Rev. James Davis
Services for the Rev. Davis will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at the Woodbury Road Baptist Church with Nathan Hale and Willard Runnels officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
Rev. Davis, 88, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, March 22, 2009. He was a veteran of World War II as well as a retired minister who served many churches in Rutherford and Wilson County.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Nokes Davis; parents, F.S. and Dora Bonds Davis and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: sons, Wayne (Mary) Davis of Murfreesboro, Terry (Lisa) Davis of Clarksville, Philip (Mary) Davis of Antioch, Tim (Linda) Davis of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Kimberly Minter, Dennis Davis, Kathy Davis, Jason Davis, Kelly Sievers, Robert Davis, Melissa Sandifer, Andy Davis, Aaron Davis, Sarah Davis and Michelle Davis and six great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Voline H. McCrary Perry
Services for Mrs. Perry will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Ward and Bro. Glen McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, March 23, from 4-8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until the service Tuesday.
Mrs. Perry, 80, died Saturday, Saturday, March 21, 2009, in the University Medical Center. She was a homemaker and member of the Vine Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, John W. McCrary Sr. and Dollie Barrett McCrary; husband, Estle V. Perry; brothers, John McCrary Jr. and Jerry McCrary; sisters, Thelma Jernigan, Mary Wright, Alice Newman, Elizabeth McCrary and Mildred Gannon.
Survivors include: sons, Anthony (Belinda) Perry and Darrell (Becky) Perry; brother, Frank (Ruthann) McCrary; sister-in-law, Ruby McCrary; grandchildren, Tina Perry, Mindy (Jesus) Huerta, Tasha (Jonathan) Glaviano, Tiffaney Perry and Kaylin Anderson and great-grandchildren, Eric Huerta, Alisia Huerta, Manuel Salavar' Perry, Autumn Glaviano and Madison Bond.
Partlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Betty Nell Anderson McKinney
Services for Mrs. McKinney will be Monday, March 23, at the Gordonsville Cemetery with Elder Charles Allen Gentry officiating.
Mrs. McKinney, 94, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Baptist Hospital. She was a member of the Highland Heights Church of Christ in Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abe McKinney; sister, Myrtle Anderson Hill; and brothers, Elvin, Marvin, Jewell, Odell and Dee Anderson.
Survivors include: twin sister, Nellie Belle Gentry of Donelson; sister-in-law, Berchia Anderson of Bartlett, Tenn.; nieces, Frances (Brown) Page of Smithville, Betty (Willard) Robinson, Marie (Gary) Blume and Barbara (Dick) Sampson; nephews, Glenn (Nancy) Anderson of Mt. Juliet and Bobby Anderson of West Palm Beach, Fla. and several great-nieces and nephews.
