Prince Croley
Services for Mr. Croley will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 8, at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Groover, Rev. W. D. Thomason and Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Bond Memorial Chapel on Sunday, March 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. and from 12:30 until service time on Monday at the church.
Mr. Croley, 71, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010. He was a charter member of Victory Baptist Church and was a former member of Green Hill Baptist and Dickerson Road Baptist Churches. He faithfully served God for many years as a deacon and as a Sunday School teacher. He was a graduate of Goodlettsville High School Class of 1956 and Tennessee Technological University Class of 1960, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1960 to 1965. Mr. Croley was employed by SAFECO Insurance Company as a safety engineer for thirty years. As a Certified Safety Professional, he assisted for many years in his retirement with the State of Tennessee's Driver Safety Program. Mr. Croley was a charter member of the Fiddler's Grove Woodcarvers Club, a Scout Master and an avid NASCAR fan.
Survivors include: wife, Joyce Croley; son, Grant (Cindy) Croley; daughter, Jill (Andy) Wright; sister, Shirley Briese; sister-in-law, Joni (Jeff) Coleman; grandchildren, Drew and Abby Wright.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Malone, Joe Hayes, Bill Karnuth, Tim Haller, Andy Eggleston and Mike Lawson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons at Victory Baptist Church and members of the Fiddlers Grove Woodcarvers Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, Inc., 1718 Patterson Drive, Nashville, Tenn. 37203-9658 or to The Gideons International.
Bond Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
