Jerry Thomas Pass
Memorial services for Mr. Pass were Wednesday, May 6 at Northside Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sam Pope officiating. Interment was in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Mr. Pass, 88, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, May 3, 2009. He was born in Wilson County and graduated from Lebanon High School where he was an all star basketball player. He served in the European and Pacific Theaters in World War II. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with an Industrial Engineering degree and worked for Dupont for 30 years.
He was a charter member of the Rivermont Lions Club and served on the North River YMCA and Dupont community boards. He volunteered with Senior Neighbors, Erlanger Medical Center, served on the board at Northside Neighborhood House and helped set up the Honeybee exhibit at the Creative Discovery Museum.
He was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and served as an Elder, Deacon, Trustee, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher and member of the Archer-Harris Sunday School class.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Nancy Pass; three sisters; and two brothers.
