Jason R. Joyner
Services for Mr. Joyner will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at Lebanon Church of God with Bishop A.J. Valentine officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday at Disyal Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
Mr. Joyner, 33, of Lebanon, died Friday, May 15, 2009 in Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by father, Alfred Lewis Joyner Sr. and grandparents, Joe and Lajune Saddler Sr. and Perry and Alice Marie Joyner.
Survivors include: son, Ja-Shawn Kenneth Joyner; mother, Audrey Joyner; brothers, Alfred Jr. and Michael (Tinesha) Joyner Sr.; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other family and friends.
Alene Crook McMahan
Services for Mrs. McMahan will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Vickers officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 22, from 3-9 p.m. and Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. McMahan, 88, of Alexandria, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was a seamstress and attended New Vision Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer G. McMahan and parents, William Crook and Matilda Hale Crook.
Survivors include: daughter, Emma Jo Farmer of Watertown; son, Kenneth (Brenda) McMahan of Alexandria; grandchildren, Teresa (Josh) King of Smithville, Trevor McMahan of Lebanon and Donna (Richard) Wapole of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Shanna Brooke Wapole, Taylor Cheyenne Wapole, Payton Dwayne Cantrell and Jailyn Nicole King; sisters, Lottie Cook of Alexandria, Bertie Barrett of Liberty and Lucille Laythe of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; brother, Haskel Crook of Cottage Home and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Services for Mr. Wright were Tuesday, May 12 at Oglethore Hill Chapel with Don McLaughlin and Bill Long officiating. Interment was in Arlington Memorial Park.
Mr. Wright, 77, of Altanta, Ga., died Sunday, May 10, 2009. He was Professor Emeritus at Georgia Tech where he taught civil engineering for 32 years. He was a member of North Atlanta Church of Christ where he served as Elder and Deacon.
Survivors include: wife, Joyce Wright; sons, Jon (Kristen) Wright of Lawrenceville and Jeff (Katherine) Wright of Nashville; grandchildren, Michael, Carter, Taylor and Garrett; sisters, Foy Dell Harding and Jean Jackson, both of Mt. Juliet and Frances McDonald of Murfreesboro.
H.M. Patterson and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
